Summary: Some brotherly banter.
Not many things ever go to plan. No matter how many times you go over the details, work out the bugs and finely tune an action, something will always throw a wrench into the arrangement.
Dean glared at the map, looked up to the road, then back down to the now useless map. "Dude, this map isn't accurate."
Laughing, Sam mocked surprise. "You know a big word like accurate?"
"Shut it. Find another pathway so we can jump back on to a main highway."
Sam rolled his eyes. "There is no pathway."
"Well find something similar," Dean growled under his breath as he bunched up the map into a ball and tossed it at his brother. "I ain't staying out here forever."
Deflecting the paper, Sam snorted as he leafed through a couple of different atlases. "You think I want to?"
There was silence as he read lines and arrows, compass indications and a few bits of map questing on his cell. "Anything?"
Sam looked up from what he was doing to glare at his older brother. "You're worse than a two year old asking are we there yet."
"Hey!" Sitting up straighter, Dean tugged his jacket, trying to make himself seem more dominant. "I didn't get us lost."
The sound of an engine passed by and both looked around to find no car passing. "Did you hear a car?"
Dean nodded. "Think that's our ghost of honor?"
More sounds of an engine gearing up, picking up speed answered them as Dean shifted the car into gear.
"Guess so. Hold on tight Sammy! Looks like we got ourselves an escort."
