And Thus, she enters Vampire Paradise

"No!" Larten Crepsley screamed as he pushed past the dueling vampires and vampaneze.

"Larten..." Arra Sails murmured.

"Arra, are you okay?" Larten asked in a worried tone.

"I've been.. better." Arra smiled. She put her hand on her bleeding belly, where a vampaneze slashed her stomach open with a heavy sword.

"It's okay. Someone will be here soon." Larten said in a soft tone and held her hand in his.

"Will I... die?" Arra asked softly.

"I don't... know." Larten answered back in a trembling voice.

"If I survive.. will you be my.. mate again?" Arra asked hopefully.

"Anything in the world." Larten smiled warmly and pulled her limp body against his chest.

"Will you give me.. one last kiss..?" Arra asked with a small smile on her face.

"Of course I will." Larten laughed heartily. "But it won't be your last." He smiled and pressed his warm lips against hers.

"Thankyou." She whispered in his ear.

"Anytime." Larten chuckled.

"I.. love.. you." Arra said in a weak voice.

"I love you too." He said back softly as the tears built up in his eyes.

He knew by every breath she took,

every word she said was making her weaker and in the end...

it wouldn't be enough to keep her alive.

Arra smiled weakly and forced herself up for another kiss. Larten didn't oblige. Arra's lips met his again and she closed her eyes... drifting away from the world. Arra drew out her last breath and stayed in his arms as she passed through life. As she was losing breath, she saw her life flash through her eyes and she remembered when she first met Larten Crepsley and how they became close friends. Arra stopped breathing and her body was still. Her arms fell to her sides and she had a smile on her face.

Larten sobbed into her chest. The night sky was going darker and Larten Crepsley finally looked up.

In the distance, a new star glowed brightly. He knew deep down, Arra Sails was in Vampire Paradise. And with that he smiled happily and sat there, watching the stars until the sun rose and ever so slowly burnt his skin.

He knew he'd be with her soon
