It was a late Saturday night, in October of 2002, in the forests above the Rogue River Valley, and strange lights had landed in a meadow in the mountain forests. The lights disappeared a few seconds after landing, but in their place, levitating above the ground, were two creatures called Pokemon. They were known as Latios and Latias. They had come to our own dimension to explore the forest as it reminded them of their home in a secret garden in the city of Altomare. Latios was the eldest of the brother-sister duo and he was the wisest. Latias was the youngest, yet she was also intelligent, playful, and strong. Latias played around amogst the trees while her brother Latios calmly looked at the animal and plant life of the forest. The animal life in our world was not like the kind they were familiar with in the world of Pokemon, which heightened their curiosity, especially in Latias. She began to stray from Latios as looked over a hill to witness the sight of the lights of the communities of the Rogue River Valley. Just as she was about to move a little more forward, Latias heard the sound of vehicles coming up the mountain road and saw in the distance their headlights. She then hid in the bushes as she made herself invisible. The men in the trucks came up to the mountain to see if a UFO landed in the forest because they saw the lights that earlier heralded the arrival of Latios and Latias. Meanwhile Latios, growing concerned, decided to commence sightsharing with Latias to see what was going on. Latias, already frightened, became worried when her eyes glowed and she tried to hide it. Then the men heard Latias shuffling in the bushes. Then feeling that she was in danger of being found, Latias flew off post haste as her invisibility faded away and made a cry of distress for her brother as the men were close behind her. Latios felt the urge to go and help Latias, but he knew that he had to stay above the patch of ground where he arrived earlier, he only hoped that she would arrive before the portal would open. Latias, who was still being chased by the men, was only 100 ft away from where Latios was when the same lights appeared again. Latios began to feel saddened as he did not want to leave his sister behind but was powerless to stop the portal from forming. Latias was distressed, as she saw the portal leave without her, powerless to stop it from leaving. The men saw the lights vanish into the dark sky. Latias, sad and lonely, felt that she had no choice but to fly over the town of Phoenix and search for a safe place to hide. Latias was now lost, alone, and a whole dimension away from home and she needed help but who would she turn to, there were no Pokemon other than only her. She made the agonizing decision to try and find a human she could trust to protect her.
