CLASSIFIED: FOR THE EYES OF UNIT SECURITY LEVEL FIVE OR ABOVE ONLY

**Original File- March, 1981**

Name: The Doctor, otherwise known as "John Smith", highly suspected to be a false name.

Age: Unknown, approximated at around a thousand years old.

Description: 6'3", broad, muscular, appears in his early fifties, has white curly hair, and wears an outdated wardrobe of frills and velvet. (see below)

Position: Scientific Advisor to UNIT.

The Doctor is, as far as we know, not a human being. While he resembles a normal man, and speaks RP, he is not a human. The first sign of this is that during UNIT's first encounter with him, the International Electromatics Incident, he appeared to resemble another person. This man was much smaller, wore different clothing, had a different appearance, and different personality, except for many odd traits which seem common to both versions. A third version has been witnessed, supposedly a predecessor to both known versions. For more details see the Cromer Incident file. No word yet as to how he accomplishes such a task, or whether he can do this more than twice.

In addition to this strange ability, the Doctor also has two hearts, and his skin is cold to the touch. He seems to be much stronger than a human being, and has been known to last for some time in poisoned air without collapsing. He does not appear to need sleep often, despite needing food as often as is normal. The man is very secretive, so we assume there is much he will not let us know about him and his species, which he referred to as "Time Lords". No word as to whether this is a proper species name, a clan or caste name, or simply a nickname. He may even be lying.

The Doctor is, despite outward appearances, very dangerous. He refuses conventional weaponry, but practices an obscure form of martial art. He is also known as a trickster, and must never be underestimated. His intelligence far surpasses that of any other person in this century. His previous body was known to be less physical, but far more devious.

The Doctor currently is attached to UNIT, but it is known that he used to travel in some sort of machine (See file on T.A.R.D.I.S.). His known accomplices outside UNIT include a Scottish primitive boy, a girl of unnatural intelligence, and a couple that vanished for two full years some time ago.

The Doctor is for the most part docile, although extraordinarily cranky. It is best not to seek out his acquaintance, as he will not associate with people he does not find helpful. Keep in mind that he is not human.

**Updated File- July, 1986**

Description: 6'3", thin, bug-eyed, brown curly hair, an unnervingly enormous grin, and wears an absurdly long scarf.

Position: Inactive Scientific Advisor to UNIT. Has been known to pop back from time to time, but his returns have become increasingly rarer since his recent change.

This version is incredibly arrogant and possibly insane. He has also been known to kidnap UNIT doctors and return them a year later, all without warning.

**Updated File- February, 1998**

"Oh for God's Sake, just write this down. We're not keeping track of his appearances anymore, seeing as he's done it again. Suffice it to say that if you see a Police Telephone Box anywhere, contact Headquarters immediately, as it's probably his blasted machine. He'll also probably show up for any big trouble here on Earth, as well."

-Brigadier Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart
