It is the year 105.
The last piece of land humans are able to live on after the great flood is Panem, a Capital surrounded by twelve Districts. Each District differs in size and their main export. Some are rich and some are poor and only The Hunger Games brings them together and makes them all equal.
In the most protected and desired location is The Capital. Riches a wealth that some people from the District can't even dream of. This is the centre of all human activity including the government and business. This place is home to the ruler of Panem, the beloved President Titan Wickham.
Around The Capital stand rows of splendid places. The people who lives there are assured a luxurious lifestyle unlike the people in the Districts. However, even in The Capital, amid all that splendor, or maybe because of all that splendor, there exists dark, stagnant places. Beneath The Capital lies a vast living space.
'The Gutters'.
In the war, The Capital built and underground town to keep the wealthy citizens of The Capital safe from a life of grime. After The Capital won, no one wanted to live in a place like that and the town was abandoned. For one hundred years, no one has lived in the ruins that remain. The deepest sections even abandoned by the government...until now.
Crumbling buildings, falling stones from the cave roof, little sunlight, rotten corpses, badly paved streets and soonl, twenty three dead bodies of fallen tributes. This all lies under The Capital.
So this is my SYOT. As you can guess, the arena this year is an underground town with little sunlight.
