Crimson Tears and Bloody Rain

Summary: A two-part poem on Ichigo and Rukia's thoughts on the last battle of the Winter War and death. Told from both Ichigo and Rukia's point of view. Warnings: Violence and character deaths.

Clash and Ring,

Sword on Sword.

Good takes on Evil,

Blood on the floor.

Battles fought,

Lives harmed and fled.

The world is a haze,

Of Black and Red.

Of White and Red.

And Blood and Death.

Silence,

The air is pulsing.

A wounded howl,

Tears the land.

A body falls,

Limp.

The murderous hyena,

Smirks.

Powers flare,

Shocked.

A Fallen Hero—

NOOO!

A flicker,

A flood.

Raw strength soars.

Then Light is Dark.

The strings are cut,

The weave is done.

Time to put the cloth away.

The world is failing,

Falling apart.

A crash,

A thump.

Lives broken and gone.

Crystal drops,

Scatter down,

Mix the blood,

Like Crimson Tears.

The pale hands move,

And try to stop the scarlet flood.

Eyes open,

Mouth moves.

The dam cracks,

Breaks.

A flood,

Joins the storm,

And washes the land,

Red.

The light is fading,

Twilight is near.

Death is calling,

No more fear.

The Black Sun has gone,

Hidden by clouds.

Darkness settles,

Heavy,

Black.

On the only,

(Sayonara,)

One she loved.

(Shinigami.)

The world ripples,

Bucks.

And everything goes black.

A scream rents the air,

Her own.

Once more,

Death

Has Won.
