Monster

I sent Donald and Goofy away earlier. I told them I'd be okay by myself. So, they believed me and left without another word. Wondering around Twilight Town, I find myself at the sandlot, but no one is here. A nagging feeling stirs inside me and I summon my Keyblade.

Yellow eyes appear from the shadows, forming into full-blown Heartless. They cluster themselves at each of my possible escape routes, while sleek assassin nobodies keep them in check. In front of me, a black portal opens and out walks Axel and Saix. Saix's grip, on Axel's shoulder, loosens slightly when he pushes him forward. "Kill him," are the only words the blue haired man utters. The scar of an 'X', between his eyes and over his nose, stands out more as his feral, golden eyes glare at me.

Axel runs a hand through his shoulder length, crimson spikes, trying to buy himself some time. Emerald eyes are dull and shows the clear sign of defeat. Tears brim at those eyes, threatening to spill over the reverse violet teardrop below each eye. His weapons, chakrams, spin into his grasp as he steps forward and away from Saix.

I block both spiked wheels as he flings them down at me. Leaning close, he whispers – no – pleads with me. "You and I can't fight him Sora. Don't let me win this...kill me."

Axel jumps back, his Organization coat sweeping at his boots. "Sorry Axel...I won't fight you."

I can't. No matter how bad I want to fight for my own life, something, someone, is holding me back.

A chakram spins toward me, grazing my arm, but I don't care. Blocking as many hits as I can, I know I'm still no match for him.

Fire laces itself around the chakram as it is hurdled at me once more. The spikes lacerate my arms, the only things Axel will aim at, several times, leaving burns toppled on them. Thanks to the heat though, no blood drips from my veins.

Falling to my knees, my Keyblade slides away from me. But with one look into the red head's eyes, I know he won't do anything more. His knees slam into the stone and he throws his arms around me, while his apologies are barely coherent, as tears stream down his face. He presses his lips to my bruised ones. "I love you."

Enraged, Saix grabs Axel's shoulders and jerks him back. But before anything else can happen, a portal swallows them both, leaving me with conflicting emotions. Surprisingly enough, a light rain beats down around me, despite the sunny sky. Lifting my face, droplets hit my face, before I collapse into my own mind.

He loves me or so he says. So, why did he hurt me. Just like the others, leaving me battered, broken, and full of regret.
