LOL… Encounters with noob maplers trying to scam you or ask for money are quite common in Maplestory. However, some just go when you decline, others go to quite great lengths just to get some money.
Encounter 1: In Henesys (Just beside the taxi)
Noob: (shouts) can spare money/eq??

Noob: (runs beside me) ME ME ME!!!
Me: ok (trades him and put one meso and a lv 0 sword and club)
Noob: can have better ones? At least lv 10?
Me: (cancels trade) you wan go buy yourself, it's the best I can give
Noob: walao… you so pro gimme 10k can?
Me: I give you a scroll you go sell for 100m
Noob: ok!
Me: (trades him and puts a nearest town scroll on it)
Noob: oi! You say the scroll can sell 100m
Me: you also nvr say what scroll you wan. This can sell 100mesos ok…
Noob: (cancels trade)
Encounter 2: In Elinia Forest (where most noobs train)
Noob: who can spare money???
Noob: (runs to me) you wan green essence?
Me: what it do?
Noob: can heal mp and hp
Me: heal how much?

Me: (trades her) see first
Noob: (puts green essence on trade thing) wan?
Me: (reads description "An essence dropped by Slimy, known to have mysterious powers)
Me: fake one lah
Noob: no is real! You wan I give you for 2k
Me: I see before lah you don try to cheat me (recalls an incident where I picked up an object that looks exactly like that)
Noob: is real! 2k only
Me: pls lor… oni power elixirs can heal full mp hp (cancels trade)
Noob: CHRISTAYY (my maple name) IS A SCAMMER!!!!!(F5)(keeps shouting)
Me: I where got scam you? you den scammer lor
