He always wondered how one woman could have so much power over a man that was power personified. However as he sat there watching her tuck strands of hair beyond he began to get an idea. It was no secret that she was highly sought after, nor was it a secret that many would be suitors failed. Many came seeking something from her, while others merely wanted to be in her presence. She had a demeanor that welcomed anyone who sought her friendship, however there were four in particular with whom she associated with on a daily basis. There was her brother who guarded her-like any older brother would his little sister- but there was an unspoken claim of undying love with their relationship. Then there was the brother's girlfriend who she found a friend in when matters called for a female opinion. Lastly there were her two most important companions. One was a younger boy who soul was to attached to the earth for he had a heart that loved far and loved long, then there was girl similar to the boy, but also opposite in the tough exterior she presented to the world. This was her family, if not by blood then by the unspoken bond that claimed their hearts and tied them together. Many envy their undying love, and loyalty to one another, for they cannot figure out what it is that endears these people to each other. But they, the people of the bond, are oblivious to those who wish to sever the links in their united chain. Maybe it is the confidence that she carries herself with, or the morals that she stands on that compel her to help those in need, or maybe it's her physical beauty, that bewitches all those who have crossed her path. After all she is what he would describe as the 21st century's Helen of Troy. She had hazel eyes that sparkled like stars, coffee skin smooth and soft to the touch, a smile that was rivaled only by the shinning of the sun, and soft curly tresses that fell onto her shoulder after springing forth from her head.

Yeah, he could understand how one woman could launch a thousand ships.
