I've been digging through my old fanfiction folders, and I found this, so I thought I'd post it. Just a little thing I wrote in like, five minutes. Enjoy.

Pit descended from a beam of heavenly light, touching his feet softly to the floor as he landed on the Final Destination practice stage. In preparation for battle, he separated his Sacred Bow into dual blades, which he was equally skilled with. Taking his usual fighting stance, he turned to face his opponent.
The Crimean stood prepared to attack, Ragnell expertly held at the ready in his right hand.
He had never faced Ike before, but Pit had heard things about him from the other Smashers…mostly scary things. Link informed him that while the bluenette was a bit sluggish in moving about the battlefield, he sure as hell packed a punch, and easily sent people flying. Marth, wide-eyed and horrified, described to him in detail how frightening it was to be caught in a full-blown Great Aether.
The angel prayed that there would be no smash balls available in this match. He was also thankful he had such…knowledgeable friends.
The two Smashers merely watched each other, neither gaze wavering, awaiting the countdown to start the brawl. The tension between them could be easily sliced with a knife.
Three…
Two…
One.
"Prepare yourself!" Ike yelled, charging at Pit, readying a powerful attack. Out of instinct, the brunette jumped straight up into the air, streamlining his wings to glide right over his opponent's head. However, the Crimean was more than ready for Pit's evasive maneuver. He caught the angel in an Aether, sending him plummeting to the ground on the other end of the stage.
Link was right; Ike had impressive strength. This was only the beginning, though, and Pit still had time to turn things around in his favor. He recovered quickly from his fall, shooting himself up into the sky before dive-bombing straight for the bluenette, his blades ready to slice and dice.
"The fight is on, Ike!"
