A/N: You can think of this as a continuation of my story 'Can I Marry Your Sister'. This was a request by Stephanie O.

Still don't own Harry Potter.

A year had passed since Harry and Ginny were married and Ginny was expecting their first child. Harry had been ecstatic, Hermione was happy, the Weasleys were excited, and Ron was…well Ron. He had been almost furious with Harry for doing 'that' to his sister, but after a good hex (from Ginny), he came around. He was very happy for the couple and had decided to be supportive rather than sulky.

It was another fine Sunday in late summer, Harry and Ron were at the Burrow playing a game of wizard chess and waiting on Hermione to come to eat dinner.

"And…checkmate," Ron said triumphantly as his knight destroyed Harry's king.

Harry sighed. "Why do you always win?"

"Why is the sky blue?"

Harry rubbed his head. "I'm sure Hermione can give you a better answer, but I'm going to say because that's how it is."

"Exactly." They laughed briefly over this, then Ron turned serious as Harry cleaned up the game. "Hey Harry?"

"Yeah Ron?"

"Could you take a walk with me?"

Harry shrugged. "Sure."

They walked over to a hill near the Burrow, with a great view of the fields and the town nearby. "This almost reminds me of when I asked permission to marry Ginny," Harry said reminiscing. He looked back when he realized Ron was not walking with him. "Ron?"

"Blimey Harry, now I know exactly how you felt when you asked me."

"What d'you mean?"

Ron sighed. "Harry, will you let me marry Hermione?"

Harry stared, then burst out laughing, Ron looked offended, until Harry said, "How many people did you ask before me?" Ron joined in.

"Only her parents. According to St. Mungo's, the new potion treatment they gave them worked, so their memory is all back!"

Harry blinked. "When did this happen? Does Hermione know?"

"It happened yesterday when I was visiting Seamus. Remember how he got hit with that spell and grew antlers? They told me Friday I could visit him and when I got out, one of the nurses remembered me from the last time we took Hermione to visit her parents! She told me the news and I told her not to tell Hermione yet." He looked rather proud of himself.

"Why the bloody hell would you do that? You know how much she misses them!"

Ron smiled smugly at this. "I'm going to tell her tomorrow. We'll go visit them tomorrow and I'll ask her then."

"Only if you have my permission," Harry said. "Do you promise to love her?"

"Course Harry."

"And to take good care of her?" Ron nodded. Harry clapped his shoulder. "Good. You have my permission then. Do you have a ring?"

Ron nodded, reaching into his pocket. "Took me ages to find and the lady wouldn't leave me alone. These things are expensive Harry!" Harry nodded knowingly as he was handed the small blue velvet box. Inside there was a silver band with a round diamond of a decent size. Harry smiled, handing it back.

"It suits her."

Ron chuckled. "If it suited her, it would have been a book rather than a ring." Harry punched Ron as they headed back to the Burrow.

The next day, Harry and Ginny got a phone call from Hermione. They could hardly understand what she said, but Harry knew that Ron couldn't have proposed in any better way.
