Some things are just meant to be. It sounds like a line. It sounds mushy, but it true. Life is like a puzzle. Everything fits together perfectly, you just have to find the right pieces. When you try to fit a piece in that doesn't fit, it messes everything up. It throws the puzzle off balance. The difference between Cappie and Casey's puzzles and everyone else's, was that their puzzles were combined. They fit together to make on big puzzle. That meant everything Casey did affected Cappie and everything Cappie did affected Casey. It had been that way since the first time they locked eyes, freshman year. That first glance at the KT party had changed both their lives forever. They didn't know it at first, but now it became painfully obvious. There world were rotating around each other, in sync. Nothing they did could change that. Two years of separation, dating each other's best friends or little sisters did not change the puzzle. It simply added more pieces. Now, as Casey babbled happily to Cappie about her classes, her friends, ZBZ Cappie realized the puzzle was complete. There was nothing missing. He had everything he needed. Cappie leaned down and placed a deep kiss on Casey's mouth then pulled back and wrapped his arm around her waist.
"What was that?" Casey asked playfully leaning her head on his shoulder contently.
"I'm just happy you're here," he murmured, kissing her head.
"Me too," she sighed happily and picked her babble. Cappie chuckled but listened happily. Everything was right.
