The softness of the grass tickled underneath my feet, and the coolness of the night air was fresh on my face. Next to me, holding my hand, was my best friend and boyfriend, Aang. I smiled up at him, remembering when I first told him of my feelings for him.

It had been three years since Aang and I confessed to each other that we loved each other. Now, we've been dating the last years. I already know Sokka isn't used to it yet, but he will someday. I know it.

"Katara, what are you thinking about?" Aang asked me. I smiled.

"The first time I told you that I loved you." Aang looked surprised.

"I was thinking the same thing." He said, and then he turned to me, and said something that would change my life forever.

"Katara, we've been dating for three years. And...I've been thinking about some things."

"What kind of things?" I asked, curious about what he was going to ask me. He let go of my hand, got something out of his pocket, and knelt down on one knee. My eyes went wide, my stomach turned over, and it seemed like my breathing stopped, and

I nearly fainted at what he said to me next:

"Katara...Katara of the southern water tribe..." He opened the small blue box, excitement in his grey eyes, but his facial expression was serious.

"Will you marry me?"
