Author's Note: Well, since I like writing poems a bit more than actual stories, I thought I'd give this a shot. This isn't really going to be focused on one character in particular, mainly because a little diversity never killed anyone. And, a bunch of poems all about the Elric brothers or Roy Mustang would get boring after a while, I think. Some of these probably won't be about anyone at all. Just letting you guys know all that before you get the wrong idea :)

Disclaimer: I do not own FMA. Or FMAB.

I was just a blob in a flask.

Freedom was at my grasp,

And I took it.

He was young. He was ignorant.

How was he to know that I would become

the immortal one?

It was so perfect, the timing and all.

We set out for Xerxes. It was hard

to contain myself. The slave

was to meet his back with a knife.

I made the transmutation

for

endless power... endless life...

He cast me away.

I went off on my own.

A new, human form that I

could call home.

I expelled the sins from

my flawed container.

My children built tunnels,

killed humans at all my commands and

the slave found a wife,

as I waited and watched-

endless power... endless life...

But then the Elrics came

to disturb my long

plotted schemes to

become the most powerful

being ever to be seen.

They clashed with Lust, Gluttony,

Greed and Wrath; Envy, Sloth, and Pride

coming last. Those two

fought through my sins

squirming through every

gap.

Then finally the day that

was Promised had come,

I was surrounded

by those humans. What vermin! What scum!

They thought they could kill me

with their fire and guns

but alas, I was too powerful

their entire strife

was useless against my

endless power... endless life...

However, the fight came

to a bitter end. That

Edward Elric had done it

again. Greed turned against me,

helping Fullmetal along.

My body was torn up!

Done all kinds of wrong!

And then I was

sent back to hell, the Truth, the one

I had feared since my earliest

youth. I pleaded, I tried,

but was sent back inside.

Now there are

times where I can't help

but contemplate-

What I really paid

for

endless power... endless life...
