Response to the Severus *sighs* prompt: Severus threw himself into his armchair with a heartfelt sigh. "Well," he said to his likewise tired companion, "that could have gone worse. Just wish I knew how."

Happiness

Severus threw himself into his armchair with a heartfelt sigh. "Well," he said to his likewise tired companion, "that could have gone worse. Just wish I knew how."

Lucius glared at him, while pushing a long, purple strand of hair out of his face before speaking. "I suppose," he said dryly, "that instead of having rainbow coloured hair, I could be bald."

Severus' lips twitched briefly before he schooled his face back into a blank mask.

"You do realize," Lucius continued, "that this is all Potter's fault. Cissy would never have thought up the idea of an Easter egg hunt if he hadn't kept going on about how much fun it looked like and how much he thought the kids would enjoy one. And to make matters worse, they determined that not only should we have this infernal Easter egg hunt, but that we should invite all of the Weasleys. The Weasleys at Malfoy Manor! But the most idiotic idea of all was allowing Arthur's twins to be in charge of dyeing the eggs."

Severus almost pointed out that the Weasleys were Draco's in-laws, and as such they would be visiting the Manor many more times, but he wisely kept his comments to himself. After all, Lucius did have a point. One, or both, of them should have put their foot down when it came to leaving Fred and George Weasley in charge of the Easter eggs. He knew what kind of havoc those two wreaked whenever they had the chance to experiment. And as none of the adults knew how to make Easter eggs (Hermione Granger-Krum being unable to attend the festivities), it had been left to the twins, who had, in fact, volunteered. The very fact that they volunteered should have been hint enough not to let the twins anywhere near the eggs. Really, what could he say to Lucius besides, "Indeed."

Lucius looked at Severus and opened his mouth to continue his ranting when the Floo flared and out stepped the parties responsible for the earlier fiasco.

"Everyone has gone. All the kids were suitably loaded with Easter baskets full of enough chocolate to make their parents avoid us for a very long time, and the house-elves are currently restoring the Manor to its previous pristine state, even as we speak," Narcissa "Cissy" Malfoy said as she walked over and sat on her husband's lap. Leaning in, she gave Lucius a kiss, then turned to face Severus, "We want to thank both you and Luc for being such good sports and not hexing everyone in sight. Especially the twins."

Harry moved to sit on the armrest of Severus' chair, before speaking. "This has been the best Easter ever," he said with a huge grin on his face.

Lucius looked at Severus over Narcissa's head. Severus just raised an eyebrow as if to say, "What can we do?" Lucius sighed and realized that they couldn't – no - wouldn't do anything, but agree to whatever Harry and Cissy planned because it made them happy, and that was all that mattered to Severus and Lucius.
