"Shikamaru, why are clouds white

"Shikamaru, why are clouds white?" Ino asked questioningly. Shikamaru and Ino had been lying on the grass for well over an hour now, the dew was dampening their clothes. Shikamaru replied while glancing at her cerulean blue eyes ever so slightly. "Clouds are white because their water droplets or ice crystals are large enough to scatter the light of the seven wavelengths. Meaning, the colours of the rainbow," he said stifling a yawn. Shikamaru stood up slowly stretching as he did so. He reached a hand toward Ino offering to help her up. "We'll be late for school if we don't go back soon. Plus, I'm sure you'll want to get dry clothes, yours are damp now." Ino accepted his hand and got up gladly leaving the wet grass. They walked in silence, eyes meeting ever so often causing them both to look at their feet. Shikamaru walked Ino to her house stopping a couple of steps from the door. "Shikamaru, you know, I have a key. I can open a door." Ino said slightly irritated. "Oh, then I guess you wanted to walk back here by yourself not knowing what kind of creepers are lurking around waiting for a girl to walk by? Sorry, I guess I shouldn't have come with you then." Shikamaru glared towards the ground at that last part. Ino sighed and glanced at Shikamaru behind her before opening the door. "I'm sorry, Shikamaru, you went out of your way to make sure I got home safely didn't you..." Ino smiled brightly at him, even if she wasn't used to apologizing it just felt right, right now. "Troublesome woman," Shikamaru muttered under his breath and started walking away.

Ino walked into the house creeping up the stairs to her room. Trying not to make any noise she tip-toed past her parents bedroom, quickly dodging in to her open room. Welcoming comfort of her well-known bed, Ino sprawled across the blankets and all, she soon fell asleep. Her alarm clock droned, Beep beep, signaling she was nearly late for school. Quickly she bolted out of bed stumbling over scattered clothes to hear a subtle clicking sound coming from her window. Rubbing her eyes, Ino walked over to the window peering out to see what it was. Opening the window, Ino stuck her head out to get a better look only to find it was Shikamaru. "What are you doing here?" Ino hollered down towards him. "Well," Shikamaru started slowly, "I knew you wouldn't get up on time so I tried to help, get something to eat we really need to go!" Ino shut the window not needing anymore encouragement for food. Dashing down the stairs Ino snagged an apple from a dish on the counter, then quickly running out the door to Shikamaru. "Troublesome woman," Shikamaru said to her quietly. He started walking towards the training grounds before Ino really had a chance to catch her breath, lucky for her, he was in a need to go very fast at all. School seemed to go quickly for them that day, Choji ate over twelve bags of chips before noon. Someone really needs to teach him how to eat. Nothing seemed to happen at Kahona High.
