My first AC story, also first time writing a Cesare/Lucrezia story. Be warned: There's incest, suggestive language, and Italian swearing. This isn't historically accurate, so bear with me.

"You... you never loved me?"

"You are my sister. Nothing more."

Painful memories kept replaying themselves in her mind. Lucrezia closed her eyes, trying to block them out, trying to forget what had happened to her brother - her lover. And yet, she could never forget. She could feel it - Cesare's child, her child... it was growing inside of her.

It was a stupid thing they had done, their one-night stand. Lucrezia knew it was a bad idea from the moment it had started... and yet, she did nothing to stop him. Having Cesare inside of her felt so good, so natural... They were meant to be together, the fact that they were siblings was just Fate's cruel hand. They had overcome it, though. Cesare was unfazed by the fact that they shared the same parents. It was meant to be, he'd said. And now, he was dead. But a part of him still survived. Inside of Lucrezia, his lover.

Lucrezia screamed, long and loud. She had given birth seven times before, but it was nothing like this hell. Her opening felt like it had been stretched from top to bottom with red-hot metal, then lit on fire.

"Get. It. Out," she howled at the doctor as another contraction ripped open her center.

"I'm trying, madonna," the doctor replied frantically, rushing around to her head. "Here, drink this, it'll numb the pain-"

"I don't want your damn medicine," Lucrezia spat at him, knocking the cup out of his hand onto the floor. "Get back down there and get it out of me." She arched her back, gritting her teeth as more pain shot through her. Squeezing her eyes shut, she hoped Cesare was watching, wherever he was, and seeing all the pain he put her through.

"Cazzo!" she heard the doctor exclaim.

"What's happening?" Lucrezia demanded. The area between her legs throbbed, more pain pulsing through every time her heart beat.

"There is so much blood, madonna... I have not seen anything like it. I am not sure the child will survive."

What about me? Lucrezia thought, screaming again, her voice echoing off the cold stone walls.

And then, with one final push, it was out, and Lucrezia was gasping and crying as her doctor fussed over the baby.

More pain.

"Wasn't it supposed to stop?" Lucrezia cried to the ceiling, clenching her hands into fists. And stop it did. The world began to fade around her, turning into shades of gray, and, eventually, black.

"No..."

She wouldn't be able to see her child. Cesare's child. Their child.

Ready for a history lesson, kiddies? :D Cesare died in March 1507 - at least in Assassin's Creed - so for this to be possible, the baby had to have been born in 1507. But Lucrezia dies in 1519. So yes, this isn't historically accurate. But I just went with the fact that the database says Lucrezia died from complications after the birth of her eighth child. I did a little more research, and found out that Lucrezia actually died ten days after her child was born, and the child died. But let's just say that this is how it happened, eh? :D

I did some MORE research and, yes, siblings can get each other pregnant. The child would probably be born with severe defects, whether mental or physical, and probably wouldn't survive. So yes, Lucrezia died for not too much.

There's your history for the day. Review please? :)
