POKEMON JOURNEYS - PART ONE - A New Adventure
This is my first fanfiction, so thanks for supporting me! :D
It was a clear sky when all Bryan and Daphne could think about was getting their starter pokemon. They thought about the adventures they would encounter and the gyms they would beat. Bryan was just a little bit older than Daphne, seeing as Bryan is 12 and Daphne is 11. The region of Arren, where they lived, was a great place to start their journey. They also had an older friend, Peter, who lived next door. He wanted to complete his education before starting his journey. He got his starter 5 years ago, when he was 12.
"Hey, Daph?" Bryan asked.
"Yea?" Daphne replied.
"Are you excited? Cause I am. I'm trying to deliberate what my starter is. Mudkip, maybe? No no, Chimchar's my choice. UGHHHH." Bryan excitedly said.
"I already know what mine is. It's a surprise." Daphne said. And they snoozed off comfortably, knowing that tomorrow would be an exciting day.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP* *smash*
Bryan and Daphne woke up. "Let's go already," their mother said. "You'll be late." They both raced down the stairs, pushing each other in the process. They barely got outside, and raced to the professor's lab in a flash. They squeezed inside and Professor Lindens said, "Hey, wait you two. Slow down a little. You'll get your turn. Now, Daphne, come here." Daphne burst out "POPPLIO! I WANT POPPLIO!" she screamed. "You sure?" Lindens asked. Linden gave the pokeball to her. "Now Bryan, come here." Bryan spent a long time deciding before deciding to go with Mudkip. Just then, Peter burst in. "Hey, Bryan," Peter said. Peter was a tall brown-haired kid. He looked pretty much like the two's older brother. "Have you chosen your pokemon?" Peter asked. "Yes!" the two replied. "Then good, let's go!" Bryan said as the three headed off towards Route 801.
"Wait!" Lindens said. "Here's you two's pokedexes. They give info on the pokemon you've seen. Bye now!"
ROUTE 801-
"According to the map, it looks like we're going to Sharpton Town." Peter said. The trio walked across the grassy Route 801 filled with bugs and, well, more bugs. They looked to their side and saw a big, beautiful coastline. "Wow," Daphne said. "That water looks so beautiful." Meanwhile, Peter was talking with Bryan. "…yourself registered at the Pokemon Center in Sharpton. They also give free badge cases." Peter explained. "But I'm not interested in those as much. There's these things called Pokemon Contests. There's one in Sharpton. You should come and watch." "Thanks. I'll be sure to," Bryan said. "Hey look!" Daphne yelled. "There's Sharpton up ahead!"
"Wow! Sharpton Town, huh," Bryan said.
"Yup! I'm excited. My first contest." Peter went on and on rambling about what to wear and such.
"Hey Daph, let's go register ourselves!" Bryan exclaimed, and the two ran to the Pokemon Center. Once they got in, they were greeted with the soft tunes playing over the loudspeakers.
"May I help you two?" Joy asked.
"Yes, we'd like to register for the Arren League." Daphne burst out. The two gave Nurse Joy their pokedexes and Joy gave them their badge cases.
"Now, the first gym you should battle is the Elderreen City gym. It specializes in rock types. I know the gym leader there." Joy explained.
"Cool!" Bryan exclaimed. "Let's go meet Peter outside." And the two rushed outside, nearly slamming into the glass doors while screaming, "PETER!" Nurse Joy chuckled.\
And that's my first chapter. The next chapter will include a longer story, and Peter's Pokemon contest.
