Belongs to the CW and Eric Kripke. Ties in with "Secret Keeper" and "Appearances". Just kind of an idea that fit in with the brawl in Tall Tales.
Before Dean could stop himself, he lunged at Sam. He began throwing punches. Sam deflected the blows and got in a couple of hits of his own. This dang, stupid idiot! He's gonna get us both killed! Dean thought to himself. As Sam fought his brother, he found himself flashing back. Uncle Lyle threw Sam into the shed.
"No. Not again," Sam said in fear.
"Shut up, boy," Uncle Lyle snarled. Then, he started on the boy. Suddenly, Dean felt Sam going rigid.
"Please. Please, no. Not again," he whispered.
"Oh, my---Sammy, I'm so---" the older Winchester stammered, standing up. Sam scrambled to his feet, and stared at his brother.
"Sammy, I---I didn't---" Dean stammered again.
"It---it's okay. It---it wasn't you," Sam responded.
"Okay, now that you two boys are done acting like idiots, I know what you're up against," Bobby told them.
"What?" Sam and Dean chorused.
"A Trickster," Bobby responded. Sam and Dean looked at each other.
"Oh, jeez," they chorused together. As Bobby refreshed their memories as to how a Trickster operated, Dean glanced at Sam worriedly. He couldn't believe he had hurt the kid. Sam caught Dean looking at him.
"I'm fine…jerk," he assured. His older brother gave his customary response and the trio worked out a plan to kill the Trickster.
