Stress ran through her as she stumbled into the hallway carrying an overflowing cardboard box in one hand and her room assignment in the other. Trembling with fear, she scanned the hallway. Thankfully, no one was here. Probably eating pizza with their new roommate. She thought, thinking of Wren, this was all her fault. If she hadn't insisted on having different roommates, Cath wouldn't feel this way now. She would feel as if she belonged, not panicking about crazy roommates who get drunk and take photos of you as you sleep. Wren had already met her roommate, Courtney. They'd been talking for weeks. Cath had tagged along when they want shopping for duvet covers and matching lamps trying not to feel like a third wheel.

Cath heard the elevator open and a girl stepping out; she panicked and hid behind a big pot plant. She wasn't ready to face another human being, not just yet. Luckily, the girl didn't notice her trembling behind the long thin leaves.

After a few moments of shivering behind a plant, Cath plucked up the courage to climb out and unlock her door. However, it took a few trembling moments before she grabbed her box. Her dad would be up with the rest of her stuff soon, and Wren. She didn't want them to see her standing before her door, quaking.

She took a huge deep breath and kicked open the door. She almost dropped her cardboard box. There was a boy in her room. She glanced down at her door and then at her room assignment, Pound Hall room 913. This was definitely room 913 but maybe this wasn't pound hall- all the dorms looked alike, She should probably catch up with her dad and her sister before they brought up the rest of her stuff.

"You must be Cather," the boy said, grinning and holding out his hand.

"Cath," she said feeling sparks of panic light up in her stomach. She ignored his hand.

This was a mistake - this had to be a mistake. She knew that Pound hall was a co-ed dorm... Is there such a thing as co-ed rooms?

The boy took the box out of her hands and placed it down on the empty bed, the other one was overflowing with clothes and boxes.

"Do you have more stuff downstairs?" he asked. "We just finished, I was just about to start unpacking. Do you need any help with your stuff?

"No its ok... my dad..." She stammered.

He smiled and she felt awkward, she couldn't stay here, not with a strange boy in the room.

He looked as if he wanted to say something else but at that moment her dad burst in carrying the rest of her boxes, there was no sign of Wren. Cath gave him an unsure smile and started to introduce him to this strange boy (which, she was hoping, was her roommates' boyfriend.)

"Dad this is..." Cath started.

"Levi. Caths' roommate."
