Chapter 1

Noriko's POV

"Noriko when is Soul Eater on again?" one of my best friends asked sitting on the couch playing with her black DSI. I paused to think but couldn't remember when, "I don't know, by the way do you know when Yui is coming she's going to miss Soul Eater. Also we were going to practice with our katana's too." I said as I continued to type on the computer.

She paused the game for a second and then stood and walked over to me staring at the words I typed. "I don't know either did you try calling her?" Sorae said twirling a strand of blue hair that lay lose upon her shoulders. Sorae had blue hair and blue eyes and was a calm, funny and carefree kind of girl. She would always stay calm in terrible situations and make people feel relaxed with her care free and positive attitude. I shook my head in a No and she sighed.

"So Nori what are you typing" She asked with a curious face on. "Oh I'm doing the homework so my mom won't scream at me. This is the last of it. By the way did you start on your homework?" I answered continuing to type more words. She paused for a second and ran to her book bag and quickly opened it and pulled out book after book and a pen. "Damn it I totally forgot about that… Shit I was just about to get a level up on Pokémon white version too!" I laughed at what she said and the expression she had on her face. "Oh god if Yui was here now I bet she would totally be laughing like I am."

I said to myself through laughter as Sorae sent me a death glare which I laughed more until I couldn't anymore. She quickly started on the homework while I finished mine. I stopped typing and stretched my tired arms. "Done!" I said as I turned to Sorae who was still writing and looking at her textbook for the questions. I sighed and turned to my phone. 'Might as well see if Yui will pick up her phone now' I thought as I dialed her cellphone.

Yui's P.O.V

Listening to my J-Pop, I didn't hear my phone ringing until my mom came in to tell me to shut my phone. I picked it up and answered it. "Yui speaking," I said, not taking my eyes off my book.

"Oh hi Yui this is Noriko I was wondering when you're coming over to my house we need to practice with katana's so make sure you have your katana with you, kay?"

"Sure, bye," I said, snapping my phone shut. I stared at my book that I was reading and memorized the page number (I forgot where I put my bookmark) and then put it into my big black bag which carried a sketchpad, another book, and a katana. I lifted up the bag and started to head out. My mom called after me and asked where I was going. "Book club," I said and then put on my shoes and left the house.

Walking to Noriko's house would take at least thirty minutes and Soul Eater started in ten. I silently cursed at the odds and went to the nearest bus station. Then, I used a metro card that I stole from my mom and boarded the bus, which was unusually crowded for the evening. Once I got off, I walked a little distance to Noriko's house and rang the doorbell.

Noriko's P.O.V

As I helped Sorae with some questions I heard the doorbell ring. "Coming" I said getting up and running to the door. I peered through the small eyepiece on the door and smiled. I quickly unlocked the door and opened it looking at the girl before me "Hi Yui, come on in" I said with a soft smile inviting her in.

Yui's mouth twitched into a soft smile and then it vanished immediately. I let out a little sigh and thought, Whenever she smiles, it lasts for seconds. Whenever she wants to laugh, she smiles. Yui is so weird. Out loud, I said, "Come in, come in. I was helping Sorae do her homework until Soul Eater starts." I turned around and saw Sorae writing down some random answers. "Number twelve isn't a number, Sorae!" I yelled at her.

She muttered a curse and started erasing her answer. I turned back to Yui and saw her smiling a bit. She's laughing, I thought smiling. As we made our way inside, I called out towards the kitchen. "Mom, Yui came!" There was a faint shout from the kitchen in response and I took that as an answer from my mom.

"Hey Yui~" Sorae complained from the couch. "Did you finish your homework?" Yui, who made her way into the room, sat down on the couch next to Sorae and nodded. Then, she took out a book and started to read. Sorae, not going down without a fight; she pushed Yui around furiously. "HELP ME!" Still reading, Yui completely ignored Sorae's pity attempt.

I laughed and said, "Calm down, Sorae. I'll help you."

Sorae's P.O.V

Ugh this freakin' math is so hard, I thought pissed. "When does soul eater come on"? I ask as I'm flipping through the pages of my math text book. Sitting right next to me is Yui reading some complicated book. What if I live like the Soul Eater characters?, I thought to myself while I was drawing graffiti in my textbook. Frustrated, I threw the textbook on the side of the couch.

"What time is it?" I asked Noriko, interrupting her explanation.

She sighed and replied, "8:00 p.m."

Noriko's P.O.V

I sat on the couch helping Sorae with her homework as Yui sat there next to me reading her book which was one of the Harry Potter books I think. Sorae kept on dazing off wanting to play her game but I snapped her out of it with a light punch on her arm. "Ow, what the heck you did that for?" Sorae said, rubbing her arm as she directed her attention to me.

"It's to snap you out of your game and to direct your attention to your homework! Come on the faster we get this done the faster I can practice with my katana, 'kay?" I said staring at my katana which was next to my computer desk.

Yui's P.O.V

I put down my book and stretched. "It's time to watch, don't you think?"

They turned around and stared at the clock. "Right!" they said together, smiling happily. Sorae immediately dropped her homework onto the desk in front of her and Noriko grabbed hold of the remote. Turning on the T.V., the opening of Soul Eater played. "Tsunaida tamashii no hi ga
mune wo sasu nara/ Kotoba yori motto tsuyoi hibiki ga/ ima kikoeru ka?" Us three were singing along happily as we watched it. I couldn't help but smile as I watched my friends go crazy singing the song along with me.

Suddenly, Sorae got up and she started to dance wildly. She slipped and fell onto the floor, but kept singing on insanely. Noriko started to laugh her pants off and she got up to help Sorae and then they started dancing all around. Smiling and still singing, I got up as well and shut off the lights. It would help create suspense and make the marathon more interesting, I thought happily. As I went back to the couch, Noriko grabbed my hand and put a finger to her mouth, smiling. I turned around and saw that the episode was beginning. We sat down and started to watch happily.

~Near the end of Episode 3~

"Hey, this is mad fun," Sorae said, eating cookies with milk. Smiling, Yui nodded silently and Noriko was standing up, stretching. Yui stood up and walked around the room to where she put her bag. She put her Harry Potter book inside and then stood up to stretch while listening to the ending song. As she was about to turn around, she heard a weird voice.

"Hi hi, wassup?"

Sorae screamed and threw a cookie at the mirror in terror. Noriko ran towards me and lifted up her leg, preparing to kick the mirror down. I stared at the mirror with a look of fascination. I cleared my throat and said, "Hello, hello, Shinigami-sama?"

The tall black cloak in the mirror said, "Wassup? I know what you people are thinking. 'What the hell is this guy doing in the mirror?' Well, don't worry! I just came here to tell you that you were accepted into DWMA. Well, lots of things to do. Peace!" The guy in the mirror disappeared and then all that was left was a light blue and white swirling spiral in the mirror. We stared at it in fascination. The same thing was going on in everyone's head. What should we do?

I, though, was the first to speak. Picking up my bag, I turned around to them and said, "Santa gave our present early. I don't know about you guys, but I'm going."

Sorae grabbed her katana and said, "Count me in!" She ran towards the mirror and stood alongside me.

We both looked up at Noriko who shrugged and said, "Well, it's two against one. I'm coming as well." She gave her friendly smirk and then headed towards the mirror. "Everyone, grab each other's hand so we don't get lost!" I held onto Noriko's hand, and Sorae was first to go. She started to enter when suddenly, Noriko yelled, "Wait! My katana!"

But it was too late. Sorae was already swallowed in and her grip on Noriko's hand pulled her in. I waved goodbye to the world and also got sucked in. Into a mirror and into the weirdest adventure made.
