Lambo wasn't as stupid as he pretended to be. He was completely aware of how the mafia worked. How much he could and couldn't say about the future. Bovino's always had that rule drilled into their brains as soon as they could understand words: "Never take risks." And telling anyone of the future was one risk no one was ready to take. Tsuna-nii was one of the most important people in his life. He knew how devastated his father was when he said that he needed to leave to Namimori. Lambo was much more mature than his actions suggested.
The Ten-Year Bazooka showed him everything. He knew way before the Vongola did that the end was near. He wasn't a crybaby. Really. It was just that seeing Tsuna-nii's smiling face looking at him every time hurt. It really did. Knowing that Tsuna-nii of ten years after was plotting his own death. His role in Tsuna-nii's sanity relied on him, Ipin, and Fuuta. He had to act like a child. It was all for Tsuna-nii. Tsuna-nii would break under the truth of the mafia if they didn't maintain their childish ways to distract him. It was a fact.
He had talked to Take-nii of the future about it. He had told him to protect Tsuna-nii with everything he had. Tsuna-nii would guide the Vongola back to it's roots. Back to a vigilante group. He might've not understood the big words Take-nii used, but the pure conviction in his eyes told him how important it was. Lambo was always closest to Gokudera, and ironically, Hibari and Mukuro. Gokudera-shi of the future had always pulled him up from his slump. He knew that every time the future Tsuna-nii saw him, Tsuna-nii only saw him as a child. Tsuna-nii wasn't aware that the way he treated Lambo really hurt him. It did. To know Tsuna-nii would never truly intrust his role, as the Lightning guardian, fully to him. Hibari and Mukuro of the future understood the responsibilities he had. Both of them being violently shoved into the world of violence at a young age. Knowing that they had to deceive others around them, never knowing who to trust.
Lambo knew that the past Hibari and Mukuro often sent him sneaking glances when they thought he wasn't looking. They knew something was up, even more so than Reborn. He exaggerated his emotions too much. Reborn wasn't quite as suspicious because he never dealt with actual children. Reborn wouldn't understand the excessive explosion of emotions he had. He would probably chalk it up to his underdeveloped brain.
Bypassing Tsuna-nii's Hyper Intuition was actually extremely easy if you knew how to. Telling half-truths and convincing himself to believe them was key. He spouted as much information as he could, but it was often dismissed as an overactive product of his imagination. Lambo knew it was wrong to trick Tsuna-nii, but he had to. It was his job. It was what made him the Lightning Guardian. This was what protected Tsuna. To protect and live by Tsuna-nii day by day. That was his dream.
Yeah, so I was gonna do an anonymous story, but I feel insecure about those. So I just did a Lambo-centric story instead. I've always had the feeling that Lambo was more than he let on. So...yeah. (Man, that sounded lame...)
Feel free to Favorite and Follow. Review if you want, too. They give me the eye power to not go blind typing these at 1:37 (I sooo checked the time for you.) in the morning. I actually just finished typing a 12 paragraph fairy tale for school (that challenged my imagination so much... I'm legit tired out.) but I typed this anyways. Try not to flame too much, yada yada, and live on as a unicorn? Whatever. I'm going to sleep. So, bai~
