It's a lonely life being death. Choosing who lives and who dies, it's almost god like. Although if he's older than god does that make it death like? Knowing that if that person lives, the one with the family, with a child who's barely old enough to know what death is. But their death means the child down the hall, the one with cancer survives. Is it right though, deciding that life, is worth more than this one, is more important? No. However, is it necessary? Yes. They think it's unfair, that life shouldn't have ended like this, death is cruel. They ask god to save them. But god has left, and death is still here. To give balance, to make sure the world doesn't end before it's time, to make sure lives that fate has decided have to end ends. Without death consequences happen, chain reactions that mean that one death saves many lives, it means natural order, balance. So even though death is lonely, with only the reapers there for company, it's necessary.
