Okay, I know it is stupid to do this, but today in my Drama class, I had to staple some papers into my notebook, right? Shouldn't be dangerous, should it? NO! But, me being me, I accidentally got some staples in my finger. Believe me, it HURT! So, I started thinking, what would happen if Bella was in my situation? I decided to do this one shot based on my sad, terrible, painful experience. And remember: STAPLES ARE VERY DANGEROUS!
I was in my Drama class with Edward and Alice. It was better than the other alternative: Band. I never liked band, so I joined Drama and Edward signed up as well, somehow getting into my class. Alice had signed up for Drama as well and got into our class. What. A. Coincidence. I wanted to roll my eyes. Yeah, coincidence. Sure.
We were stapling papers into our notebooks, and when it was my turn, me being clumsy, did something that was really idiotic, especially with vampires in the room. I accidentally stapled my finger. I nearly screamed at the pain. People wouldn't think stables would be that dangerous, but to me, they were.
I looked at my finger, the staple was lodged in between the top of my finger and the place where your finger bends. It was in, and you could see it clearly against my pale skin. Tears gathered in my eyes. The pain was escalating. I turned frantically to Edward. He was confused. He hadn't seen what happened. I shoved my finger into his hands, and his mouth dropped slightly. He shook his head in shock and amazement.
"Bella," he whispered. "How did you staple you finger?" He asked bewildered. I nearly blushed, but instead I glared at him.
"I have a staple in my f***ing finger and you are actually asking how the f*** it happened?" I whisper/yelled at him. His mouth dropped even further. I had never swore before. Never. He shook his head and focused on my finger now. He handed me his free hand.
"Squeeze it, it will help." He said reassuringly. I gripped his hand in my free hand. I felt pressure all of a sudden on my finger and a few tears leaked out. He rubbed gentle circles on the back of my hand. Suddenly, the pain was gone, but it still tingled annoyingly. I looked and saw the staple out, but my finger was bleeding a bit.
Edward gently dabbed at it with a tissue and kissed it. I sighed, content slightly now. It still stung, but I knew it would go away. Edward smiled at me crookedly. I couldn't help my responding smile. With that, we went back to paying attention to the teacher, who was going on about Character Analysis.
The End
