I cried as I watched them place his casket in the ground. I would never see him again…ever. He didn't get a real funeral, we were pirates after all. We would be arrested and his body would be thrown into the sea. We all mourned silently, except Luffy. He was crying loudly on Zoro's shoulder, who just held Luffy with a sad look on his face. More tears slipped down my face. I hadn't cried this much since I was a starving kid. We threw the dirt into the grave, burying the only man who ever loved me. We turned to leave, I paused and looked back. Staring at the plain wooded cross I realized something….I never told him I loved him.
