"Lucy?"
"Hm?"
"Why is the sky blue?"
Lucy and Natsu were lying down in the grass of the Magnolia Park, looking up at the sky.
"Because of molecules in the air scatter blue light more than any other light."
"What?"
"Never mind."
A cloud shaped like Happy passed by.
"Hey, Lucy?"
"Yeah?"
"Who do you like best out Fairy Tail?"
"Why do you need to know?"
"Just thinking."
"You can think?!"
"Geez Lucy, are you being serious right now?"
"Sorry, it's just such a surprise!"
"Lucy, just answer the question."
Lucy grinned at Natsu's face.
"Ummm, Levy."
"Really? Levy?"
"Yeah, why not?"
"She's not even in your team!"
"So?"
"So, pick someone else!"
"That's in my team?"
"Yup!"
"But Natsu, that's only like one percent of the guild!"
"So? Aren't the people who were with you in the adventure closer than those who just hear about it?"
A moment of silence passed.
"Wow Natsu, and here I thought you didn't know anything about poetry."
"What's poetry? Sounds cool! Can I have one?!"
"Oh, never mind."
"Lucy, what's wrong with your face? It looks sad!"
"I'm just disappointed."
"What's disappointed? That sounds cooler! Where can I get a 'disappointed'?"
Lucy face palmed.
"Lucy, why'd you slap your forehead?"
"Natsu, do you know what a face palm even is?"
"No, it sounds like your palm meeting your face. But that's too weird."
"Actually, that's it."
"Really?! Damn, people are so lazy, they can't even think of new words."
"Well, what would you call it?"
"Disappointed."
Lucy started laughing.
"What?"
"Nothing, it's just. . . nothing."
A moment of silence passed.
"Lucy, you never answered the question."
"Hm?'
"Who do like best out of Fairy Tail?"
"And when you mean Fairy Tail, you mean just our team?"
"Yup!"
"Then how is that 'Fairy Tail'?"
"Fine, then who do you like best out of all of the guild?"
"Levy."
"Second?"
"Erza."
Natsu's face grew worried. He sat up straight.
"Third?"
"Gray."
How could freaking Ice Princess beat him?
"Fourth?"
"Happy."
"Fifth?"
Natsu had to at least be in the top five.
"Wendy."
"Sixth?"
"A tie between Cana, Lisanna, and Mira."
He was beaten by a drunk, a girl Lucy only knew for several months, and a demon!
"Seventh?"
"Juvia, Loke, and Elfman."
Natsu stared at the sky.
He met Lucy first, brought her to Fairy Tail, and was her partner for how long?
Well, he didn't actually know how long, but he was pretty sure it was very long!
"Eighth?"
"Makarov, Bisca, Asuka, and Alzack."
"Ninth?"
"Gajeel and Kinana."
"Am I in the top ten?"
"No."
"WHAT?! Top twenty?"
"No."
"Top thirty?!"
"No."
"Top Forty?!"
"No."
"Top Fifty?!"
"No."
"Top Hundred?!"
"Am I even ON the list?"
"No."
Natsu burst.
"IF I'M NOT EVEN SOMEONE YOU LIKE, THEN WHAT AM I TO YOU?!"
Lucy grinned.
"Someone I love."
