I have never written fics for "Free!" before, but I'm on a Free!-bender right now so here we go.

I don't own "Free!" I can swim, but there ends all possible resemblance. I don't even remember how to swim many of the strokes they preform on the show.

Reviews are appreciated, but I understand if you just don't have the time / desire / typing ability.

"Good-bye and Hello" 8/8/2014

Haru stared at Rin, both of the young boys standing outside the doors of Iwatobi Elementary School. Rin would be moving away soon. His train left in just a few hours.

Sousuke was waiting for him at the train station, but right now, he wanted to say good-bye to his other best friend.

'You're leaving, ' Haru thought, but said nothing. Only looked up at the slightly taller redhead. He waited for Rin to speak first, just as he always had.

But Rin said nothing. Only looked at him. His eyes shone with something – tears? excitement? – but no words came out of his mouth.

Suddenly, the little redhead's face shot forward – he always did move fast – and pressed itself against Haru's.

The small dolphin was surprised: he had never been kissed by a shark before, and he had no idea that shark lips could be this soft.

Sharp teeth nipped at him playfully, and then Rin drew away, smiling gently to the small dolphin.

"Good-bye, Haru," he whispered before turning away, his quick feet carrying him towards the train station.

Haru watched him, his lips still tingling strangely, his heart feeling as though it were a dolphin gliding through the ocean water and then lunging up into the air – a joyful, happy feeling.

A smile grew along his lips, and he slowly turned around to head back home.

Sprashu Free!

Now a teenager, Haru exited Iwatobi High School, following at a distance behind Makoto and Nagisa. He always walked home with them, he knew, but today felt... different.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a tall figure standing beneath a nearby tree. Turning, he found himself making eye-contact with a tall redhead. Shining eyes and a grin full of sharp teeth met his gaze.

'You're back,' Haru thought. He stood still, staring up at the figure, saying nothing. Waiting for the other to speak first, just as he always had.

The redhead said nothing, his eyes shining from an indiscernible source. Tears? Excitement?

The figure took a step forward suddenly, closing the gap between the two boys. His face shot forward, moving just as fast as ever, and pressed his mouth against Haru's.

The dolphin found comfort in the fact that, even after so many years, his shark's lips were still just as soft as they were before.

The sharp teeth grazed over his lips and tongue playfully, threatening harm but drawing no blood. The redhead drew away, a smirk playing across his lips as he gazed at his dolphin.

"Hello, Haru."

The End.
