The Astral Beginning

"That last takeover was a breeze!" said Master Zorn.

"I know!" said Mistress Zalima.

"I never thought that a takeover would be so easy!" said Master Zorn, "so, where should we conquer next?"

"How about the planet Earth?" asked Orgo, "they are simple beings!"

"That would be another easy takeover!" said Ziko.

"And you know what?" said Mistress Zalima, "those Earthlings would make excellent slaves!"

"Then, it is settled," said Master Zorn, "I will send both the Mazen forces and the Mazen fighters to attack the Earth. Mazen warriors! Mazen fighters! Go down and wreak havoc on the Earth!"

The Mazen fighters and the Mazen soldiers left the Zokarian base and went to the planet Earth, specifically Diamond Falls. They commenced their attack. As a result, the citizens of Diamond Falls run everywhere and began to panic. The police came and tried to quell the situation, but when they found out what they were dealing with, they retreated. The military and the SWAT team did the same. Then, the city of Diamond Falls sounded the civil defense alarm so that anyone who was on the streets of Diamond Falls during this situation would be arrested by the police.

"Look!" said Mistress Zalima, "they're cowering!"

"I see!" said Master Zorn, "let's let the Mazens do their job. So, this planet will be reduced to rubble."

Both Master Zorn and Mistress Zalima began to laugh evilly.

Now, Clayton just got home from work before the alarm sounded, and he was tired. He made a light dinner, cleaned up the preparations, and went to bed hoping for a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, that did not happen. After two hours of sleep, a light began to glow in his front doorway. It was so bright that Clayton could no longer sleep, and he covered his eyes to shield them from the light. He decided to rise from his bed and investigate the phenomenon. He walked towards the door and opened it. He walked through it and realized that he was no longer in his bedroom. He looked for his bedroom, but he could not find it. All that he saw was golden light.

"Where am I?" asked Clayton to himself, "Hello!"

But all that he could hear was his echo. Suddenly, a feminine figure began to walk towards him. He had his eyes fixated on her as she walked towards him. Soon, the figure looked just like a young woman.

"Who are you?" asked Clayton.

"My name's Ai," said the woman, "do you have any idea what is going on here? I was in my bed, and then suddenly, I saw this golden light, and..."

"Believe me," said Clayton, "I know. By the way, my name's Clayton. Nice to meet you."

Clayton shook Ai's hand.

"I have an idea," said Ai.

"Great!" said Clayton, "what is it?"

"Maybe we should hold hands so that we won't get lost," said Ai.

"Good idea!" said Clayton.

So, Clayton took Ai's hand, and they proceeded to walk together. After a short while, after they were walking for awhile, they saw three people walking towards them. Ai and Clayton stopped walking and had their eyes fixated on them. The three of them approached Clayton and Ai, and when they became closer, their appearances became clearer.

"Who are you?" asked Ai.

"I'm Tim," said the man.

"I'm Darius," said the other man.

"And I'm Maria," said the woman.

"I'm Ai," said Ai.

"And I'm Clayton," said Clayton.

"We were wondering if you knew what was going on here," said Darius.

"Yeah!" said Maria.

"We don't even know!" said Clayton.

"Well," said Darius, "I think that the best that we can do for now is to stay together. Something must be up."

"I agree," said Ai.

They began to walk together, and then a feminine voice called to them.

"Clayton! Tim! Ai! Darius! Maria!" said the voice.

The five of them tried their best to look for the source, but they could not find it. They looked everywhere. They were afraid.

"Where are you?" asked Darius.

Then a feminine angelic figure descended from above the dimension. The five of them watched as it happened.

"Whoa!" said Darius.

"My name is Parley," said the figure, "I brought you here for an important mission. I need you to protect the Earth. That's all for now! Goodbye!"

"Wait!" said Clayton.

They thought that Parley was going to deposit them back to their bedrooms, but they were wrong. The five of them found themselves in a humongous flower garden that was outside a temple.

"Okay," said Maria, "what's going on here?"

"This day is getting weirder and weirder!" said Ai.

"I agree!" said Tim.

"So, what are we doing in front of this temple?" asked Clayton, "maybe we should go inside!"

"I guess," said Tim, "we're here for a reason!"
"Yeah," said Clayton, "let's go!"

They went inside the temple. It was dark inside and there were many vases. The five of them looked everywhere and searched the insides of the vases and found nothing. After fifteen minutes of searching, the room from the top began to fill with white electricity. Then a figure descended from the white electricity. The five of them had their eyes fixated on it. It was Parley. The five of them did not stop staring.

"The five of you have passed the test!" said Parley.

"What test?" asked Darius.

"You passed the test of teamwork!" said Parley, "this is what I was preparing you for!"

"What do you mean?" asked Ai.

"You are the defenders of the Earth!" said Parley.

"Excuse me?" asked Maria.

"I need you five to become Power Rangers!" said Parley.

"Power Rangers?" asked Ai, "are they some sort of superheroes?"

"Yes, they are," said Parley, "and I know that you are capable of doing a good job, or else I would not have brought you here."

The five of them sighed.

"Okay," said Ai, "what do we do?"

"I'm getting there," said Parley, "first, I must show you a part of the temple that you probably haven't explored yet. Follow me."

The five of them followed Parley, and Parley led them to a basement. Parley gently pressed on a door, and the door opened. Once the five of them saw what was inside, they were astonished.

"What is this place?" asked Maria.

"This is the base of operations for the Power Rangers team," said Parley, "that's you!"

"Cool!" said Darius.

"Okay," said Ai, "now, what about the Power Rangers stuff?"

"I was just getting there," said Parley, "let me first tell you about what you will be facing. Master Zorn and Mistress Zalima are the heads of the Zokarian Empire. Beware! They can be dangerous. Their generals are Ziko, Orgo, Rotho, and Circla. Their army is called the Mazens. They also pilot some spacecraft. There is a method to defeating the Mazens, but I am not sure what that is."

"Don't worry," said Clayton, "we'll find that out."

"Any questions?" asked Parley.

"Yeah," asked Ai, "what happened to the police and the military on this issue?"

"They chickened out," said Tim.

"I see," said Ai, "nothing further."

"Any more questions?" asked Parley, "else I will continue."

They looked at each other and said nothing.

"I will continue," said Parley, "Maria, you will be the blue ranger. Darius, you will be the green ranger. Ai, you will be the yellow ranger. Tim, you will be the orange ranger. And as the team captain, Clayton, you will be the red ranger."

"Team captain?" asked Clayton, "me? Are you sure that you have the right guy?"

"Trust me," said Parley, "I know what I am doing."

"Okay," said Clayton, "if you say so."

"Anyway, when a monster grows giant or when the situation warrants, you will be able to pilot vehicles known as zords. Maria, you have the Eagle Zord. Darius, you have the Ox Zord. Ai, you have the Leopard Zord. Tim, you have the Bear Zord. And Clayton, you have the Lion Zord. Together, they will form the mighty Spirit Megazord. It is armed with the Spirit Saber and many other powers. Each of you also has a special power. Maria, you have the power of water. Darius, you have the power of earth. Ai, you have the power of mist. Tim, you have the power of wind. And Clayton, you have the power of fire. Along with two Astral Blasters and a short sword, each of you has your own individual weapon. Maria, you have the Eagle Bow. Darius, you have the Ox Ax. Ai, you have the Leopard Daggers. Tim, you have the Bear Shield. And Clayton, you have the Lion Sword. Together, these weapons form the Spirit Blaster. Also, both of your Astral Blasters can form a Super Astral Blaster for more power. Are there any questions?" asked Parley.

They all looked at each other and said nothing. Then, Parley gave all five of them their Astral Coms and their Astral Morphers. The five of them looked them over carefully.

"What are these?" asked Ai.

"The watch-like device is a communicator called a Astral Com. It allows two-way communication between the base and your fellow rangers. The Astral Com is the two-piece device. All that you have to do is put the two pieces together and say, 'Astral Force! Astral Blast!' to activate the powers. Go on, give it a try!" said Parley.

"Here goes nothing!" said Clayton.

"Astral Force! Astral Blast!" said Clayton as he morphed.

Clayton became the red ranger. He was pleased with his suit. Their suits are similar to Liveman's by the suit isn't white, but it is black. And of course, the women have mini-skirts. Then, Clayton powered down.

"That was so cool!" said Clayton.

"Yeah!" said Ai.

Suddenly, the alarm began to sound. It irritated their ears at first.

"What is that?" asked Maria.

"That's the alarm," said Parley, "it will sound just in case there is trouble. Now, we can go to the viewing screen, and it will show us what is happening at that particular location."

Then they all went to the viewing screen and saw the Mazens attacking the public of Diamond Falls.

"We need to get down there!" said Maria.

"Yeah!" said Clayton, "it's morphin' time!"

"Astral Force! Astral Blast!" said the rangers as they morphed.

They began to fight the Mazens, they were fighting a losing battle. They did not know how to defeat them.

"We need to think of something! Fast!" said Tim.

Then, Darius saw two Mazens collide and disintegrate.

"Whoa!" said Darius, "did you see that?"

"Yeah!" said Tim, "I think we'd just found the secret to defeating them!"

"Yeah!" said Clayton, "let's do it!"

They charged towards the Mazens and began defeating them, but they were not able to defeat all of them, because Master Zorn took the remainder of them back to the Zokarian base.

"Yeah!" said Tim, "get out of here, and don't come back!"

"What happened?" asked Master Zorn, "who are these guys?"

"They call themselves the Power Rangers, dear!" said Mistress Zalima, "they fight for good! I hate them!"

"Whatever!" said Master Zorn, "I will defeat them even if there are a thousand of them!"

Meanwhile, in the temple base, they were celebrating.

"Now, rangers," said Parley, "there are a few rules that you must follow as Power Rangers. Fight fair. Work as a team. Keep yours and others' identities as a secret. And finally, don't use your powers for personal gain. Can you do that?"

"We sure can!" said Maria, "and I speak for all of us!"

They all smiled.

"Good, then," said Parley, "then welcome aboard! Feel free to explore the temple and the flower garden. It's all yours. Just remember, as a ranger, you are always on duty!"

"No problem," said Ai.

They all smiled and left.
