Okay, this is set during Kim and Ron's sophomore year in college, so, they're both about twenty.
Summary: Kim and Ron are in college and Ron's been thinking a lot about his future. (Shock much?) He decides that he wants to ask Kim to marry him. How will it go?
Disclaimer: I do not own Kim Possible.
Ron walked through the door of the apartment he and Kim shared. Kim was already home from her classes and she was cooking dinner. Ron breathed in.
"That smells really good, Kim."
Kim blushed. "Aw, thanks Ron."
Ron blushed in return. He entered the kitchen and kissed Kim on the cheek. "So, Kim, how was your day?"
"It was okay. My classes are all really hard and Wade kept trying to contact me during class, so during lunch, I had to go save some city in Germany. This saving the world stuff is getting out of control."
"Aw, I'm sorry. You should just tell Wade to leave you alone while you're in school. You can pick up saving the world after we graduate."
"The evil in the world isn't going to just stop and wait for me to get out of college!"
"I'm sorry. It was a stupid idea."
"Oh, Ron, don't be sorry. You were just trying to help."
"Yeah, but every time I try to 'help' I just end up getting in the way." Ron looked down sadly.
"That's not true, Ron! You've helped me loads of times!"
"Name one."
"Well, I can't name one right now. My brain is too fried for me to be able to think of a specific instance. But, I remember that you have helped me before."
"Thanks, K. P."
Kim kissed Ron gently. She took the dinner off of the stove and put it on the table. They sat down to dinner and ate while talking about their days and what they were going to do that weekend.
The next day, it was Saturday and kim had a class, but Ron didn't. So, there was Ron, all alone and thinking on a Saturday morning. Now, anyone who knew Ron knew that it was not good for him to have a whole morning to just think. It could lead to some stupid thoughts.
However, this time, Ron actually came up with some great ideas. He decided that his life wasn't really going anywhere and that he needed to settle down. He decided that he should ask Kim to marry him. So, when Kim got home from class, he asked her if he could talk to her.
"What is it Ron? Is something wrong?" Kim asked, concerned. She knew as well as we know that Ron never wanted to talk about serious stuff.
"No, nothing's wrong." Ron breathed in and out nervously. "I was just thinking that I'm not really going anywhere in my life. I mean, yeah, I have a career set up, but, I mean... relationship wise."
Kim's face sank. "Are you breaking up with me?"
Ron looked at Kim in shock. "No! I'm not breaking up with you!" Ron got down on his knee. "Kimberly Anne Possible, I love you. Will you marry me?"
KIm gasped and tears welled up in her eye. "Oh, Ron... Yes."
Ron stood up and smiled at Kim. "I don't have a ring yet. I figured we could go pick it out together."
"That's a great idea, Ron." Kim pressed her lips gently to Ron's. "I love you."
"I love you, too." Ron smiled at Kim.
"Come on, let's go get some lunch."
Ron nodded and allowed Kim to lead him from the apartment by the hand. He knew that Kim was only his first girlfriend, but, he loved her. And he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
