Uncle Rick owns Percy Jackson. Happy reading!
Eighty-six-year-old Annabeth was lying on a hospital bed. Her loved ones, or at least the ones who were still alive, surrounded her. To them, her face was blank and emotionless. To her and her closest friends, that was her thinking face. She was caught in a hurricane of memories, with emotions swirling in her mind.
Annabeth thought of when she left her very first "home". Athena had guided and watched over her. Memories of Thalia, Luke, and herself traveling across the country filled her mind. Memories of the many adventures with Percy and later, the Seven. Of course, she couldn't forget about her celestial bronze knife Luke gave her. Unfortunately, her knife along with Daedalus' laptop are still stuck in Tartarus where it probably will remain forever.
Thalia had come to mind, who was still alive and young of course, and her dislike of Barbies and "girly" things. She was crestfallen that she had to leave her behind, but she knew Thals had the Hunters of Artemis. Luke, one of her first half-blood friends, also came to mind. It made her pleased to see him again. Well, it made her delighted to see all of her close friends once again after their deaths many years ago. And of course, she'll get to see Percy again. He had died when he was only fifty due to an unexpected monster attack. She was overjoyed to be reunited with him.
Then a new question wormed its way into Annabeth's mind, interrupting her reminiscent thoughts. What would she leave behind?
Well, she would leave her children, her grandchildren, Camp Half-Blood, and obviously the world of the living.
But Annabeth felt as though she lived for much too long. Witnessing most of her friends was appalling, and she wanted to just talk and see them again. Besides, she can't do anything all that useful anymore since she retired years ago and told her children, grandchildren, and the kids at Camp all the stories she had to tell. Training the new demigods would do more harm to her than good. Though the world may miss her, she certainly won't miss the world, besides her loved ones of course. She'll be having the time of her life in Elysium.
Suddenly, her thoughts cleared. Annabeth could see her loved ones sadly gazing down at her, grief shown in their eyes. As her vision slowly became black, she could make out another figure she didn't notice before. Percy. Of course this person was Percy. Who else would the mysterious figure be? He smiled and held out his hand, and Annabeth tried to reach for it but she could not. Instead, she settled for a smile. And when she left the world of the living, she left smiling.
Annabeth Chase became known as one of the most famous demigods of all time. Her story was told through the generations of demigods, and still is being told to this day. Along with Percy, she still is one of the most admired demigods. Whether it was because of her personality or her accomplishments, most likely the latter, she definitely deserves all the compliments and admiration. She was very quick-witted, strong, and persistent.
Her most remarkable achievements were that she recovered the Athena Parthenos, was one of the Seven, one of the few survivors of Tartarus, and she was the oldest demigod to live, at least in her time. Annabeth actually completed her lifelong goal which was to build something permanent. Her story would be told again, and again throughout the generations. That is her permanent mark on the world. And shall be perhaps forever.
