A young girl, with short brown hair, watched the waves roll in onto the golden sand. Her purple-blue eyes scanned the beach. She saw a young boy with dark blue spiky hair walking down a dock towards a boat. The girl ran up to him, grabbed his hand and started to cry, "Please don't go."

The boy stopped, he pushed the girl away. She tripped on a loose board and fell into the dark depths of the water. The boy grew smaller as she drifted deeper into the ocean; she opened her mouth, trying to speak.

"Li!" Audrey awoke suddenly from her dream, "don't… go."

She lay back in her bed, "Why do I keep having that dream?" Audrey rolled over and climbed out of bed. A strange noise echoed through her room. She dragged her feet along the floor as she walked over some clothes, papers and other things on her floor towards the window. Audrey tugged at the window to open it. She looked down below to see two boys fighting each other with toy wooden swords. She eyed a boy with blue hair, her eyes widened, "Li?"

The boy turned his head to see where the voice had come from, "Huh?" The other boy saw his chance and took advantage of it. He swung his sword at the other boys' arm.

"Ow!"

"Sorry!" Audrey shouted out of her window. The boy with blue hair looked up and had caught her eye. She smiled and waved. The other boy laughed and jabbed his elbow into the boys' side, "Looks like you got yourself a girlfriend."

The boy blushed and ran away into the alley. Audrey watched him leave and pushed away from the window, "I've got to hurry if I want to catch up to him."

Audrey rushed out of her room without even changing out of her pajamas. She ran down the stairs and out the front door with her slippers on. She saw the boy run to the beach and followed.

"Wait!" She called out, "please don't go!"

The boy stopped in his tracks, "What did you say?"

"Please don't go," She said as she caught up to him.

His pale blue eyes looked straight back into hers, "Audrey?" He looked at Audrey, who was wearing a striped blue tee and solid maroon pants. Her long, wavy brown hair was a mess, she blushed when she smiled, "It has been so long."

Li tried to look away, "I guess so."

"Why did you have to leave?"

He paused, "I had to move because my parents died, I went to live with my uncle."

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that," she thought for a while, "then why… Why didn't you say good-bye? Or at least looked at me when you were leaving?"

Li cringed at the thought, "I didn't want to make it any harder for you than it was for me."

"Why did you push me away?"

"I wanted you to hate me, and I wanted you to forget all about me," He stopped and then continued, "I never wanted to say good-bye-"

Audrey cut off Li's sentence when she ran up to hug him, "I'm so glad that you're back."

She looked up at him and smiled. Li didn't smile back and pried her off him, "Glad to know."

"What were you doing earlier?" She pointed at the sword he held in his hand, "with that?"

"Oh, this?" I was practicing for the Struggle competition. I'm sure to win."

"Really? I was thinking of entering too!" Audrey giggled, "Amber and Renee have been helping me out. It's only two days away. I can't wait!"

"You're entering too? But you're a-" He was cut off again.

"A girl? Don't underestimate me. You'll see."

Audrey ran off back to her house, she skipped up the stairs as she entered her room, "Wait 'till I tell Renee and Amber that he's back."
