The day started out like any other day but for Bickslow, it was on the verge of disaster. He and his wife Lisanna got into an argument, as most couples do. Things ended up being at a stalemate, Lisanna locking herself in their bedroom with Bickslow trying to coax her out.

"Come on, Lisanna! I didn't mean it the way I said it."

"Then why did you say it?!"

"I don't know, it just came out wrong. Please come out."

"No!"

"Please baby."

"No! I'm not ready to come out!"

"Come on now. Baby. Sweet Pea."

Lisanna's body stiffened and she groaned internally. Whenever he called her that, he would sing that song after their fights and somehow it got her to forgive him. Bickslow ran into the living room and got the music ready and grabbed a ukulele from who knows where and began to play. The song was entitled "Sweet Pea" by singer Amos Lee.

"Sweet pea, apple of my eye

Don't know when and I don't know why

You're the only reason I keep on coming home

Sweet pea what's all this about

Don't get your way all you do is fuss and pout

You're the only reason I keep on coming home

Unlike the Rock of Gibraltar I always seem to falter and the words just get in the way

Oh I know I'm gonna crumble

I'm trying to stay humble but I never think before I say."

When the instrumental part of the song played, Lisanna began to open the door. Bickslow knew that meant he got her. She looked up at him with a smile that said you win this round and he just smiled back and finished the song.

"Sweet pea, keeper of my soul

I know sometimes I'm out of control

You're the only reason I keep on coming

You're the only reason I keep on coming yeah

You're the only reason I keep on coming home."

When the song finished he opened his arms up for a hug in which she complied.

"Am I forgiven?"

"I guess so."

"I'm sorry."

"I am, too. I want some cake. Help me make it?"

"Long as it's chocolate."

Stumbled across this pairing and I like it, they fit somehow. I know it's short but the overall effect is there. Hope you enjoyed it!
