Thoughts by the lake

Lily sat by a tree, watching the sparkling lake, it looked serene and peaceful. Nothing can disturb her except for him. Some how that rotten James potter found a way to get in side her head. No matter what she was doing it always related to him, if she's doing homework she thinks about how smart he is, without trying, like her. When she's reading a funny passage or book, she thinks of how he can make any one laugh.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard someone coming toward her. She looked to her side and let out a disgusted sigh. She stood up and swiftly walked over to him and simply stated.

"No Potter I don't want to go out with you now BUGGER OFF!

"I was just going to ask if I can sit with you but if you want me to leave then I'll be happy to oblige."

"Oh, ok I g-guess you can sit with me"

James walked over to where lily was sitting and sat down. He had one leg straight out and the other bent so she could rest his hand on top of it. He pushed his glasses up his nose and leaned hi head against the tree trunk. I slowly walked over and sat beside him with my legs pulled up to be chest and my arms wrapped around my knees.

"I don't bite you know."

"Oh!" I said as I realized I was curled up in a ball with my head between my legs.

I started laughing. One thing was starting to bother me while we sat there and I just had to ask him.

"Potter"

"Yeah" he answered still looking at the lake.

"I just don't get it-"

James stared at me with a quizzical look on his face, so I continued to what I was saying.

"Everyday for the past six years you'd ask me out almost five times a day, and every time you get rejected. You still didn't give up on asking me out, but at the end of the sixth year you asked me out a-a-and I said-."

"You said that you hate me and wished you would stop asking you out, and talking to you only to aggravate you.

"You listened. You haven't asked me out once since the beginning of the school year. Why did you listen, you NEVER listen."

"Over the summer I did a lot of thinking and I came to a conclusion."

"Oh and what would that be."

"That I really like you lily, and the only way that you seem to get along with me is when I behaved, and left you alone. So I stopped aggravating you and hexing random people, except for the Slytherin's because I wont stop torturing them no matter what."

"That maybe the sweetest thing that anyone has ever done for me."

"Yeah"

"Anyway James I got to go meet with Alice for our potions project."

"You called me James."

"That's your name right"

"Yeah but you always called me Potter."

"Hehe right, ok then bye."

I swiftly bent down and kissed James on the cheek and ran off toward the castle. My I could have sworn I saw his hand on the cheek on the check I had kissed and a giant smile on you face. Oh my thought on Liking James potter just changed dramatically.
