Music.

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling does.

That was Hermione's savior. It pulled out of her darkest times, whether it was happy or sad, ancient or modern. So many times, she had listened to Simple Plan songs, trying to cheer herself up.

This is about the one time it didn't work.

After the war ended, Hermione was just depressed. She was tired of people dying, and she was ready to join them in the grave. She really, truly was. She felt that her purpose in life was over. But was it really?

To her, yes it was.

Until she met Draco Malfoy, and he brought her back to life. Let me give you a brief synopsis of it;

They met in a crowded coffee shop, and he bought her a cappuccino.

Then, they started talking to more and more.

Finally, Malfoy gained the confidence (not that he needed any) to ask her out.

They dated for about a year and a half.

He asked her to marry him, and she said yes.

Then, her parents died.

It was a Death Eater attack, and who did it happen to be led by?

None other than Draco Malfoy, her fiancée.

And that, my friend is the one time music could not save Hermione Jean Granger.

And do you know what her obituary papers said?

She left a note saying that her obituary should read;

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.

And

Harry, my music ran out.

The end.
