A/N: Hello again. I feel so accomplished - I posted two things in one day! Yay! Considering I haven't done anything for at least a year, this is huge :)
So anyway, this is just a drabble about L. This is based off of the spin-off movie of Death Note called L: Change the World. Hope you like it.
He had never thought about becoming a father before, but after two children had inexplicably appeared at his doorstep, he had come to two conclusions: one, he rather enjoyed them, despite the work involved. The children liked and accepted him despite his unusual quirks, and he, in turn, couldn't help but return their feelings.
The second thing he concluded: he would never be a good father.
He had never been good with kids, and that combined with the fact that he had zero social skills and had always had trouble understanding people meant that he would never be capable of successfully raising a child.
But still, he had grown attached to these kids, and it had hurt more than he had anticipated when the time had come to let them go. But deep down, he knew that they would never forget him. So yes, he would die tomorrow, but his memory would live on forever in their hearts.
And that was enough.
