For the 3rd time in a day Kimmy ran away to avoid DJ. DJ had no idea why.
"Kimmy wait," DJ said catching up with DJ, "Why have you been avoiding me."
"I can't tell you," Kimmy said, "You'll hate me if you know the truth."
"Did you borrow my eyeliner again," DJ joked, "Look Kimmy I could never hate you."
"My older sister is 24," Kimmy said.
"Okay," DJ said, "So what does that have to do with anything."
"Four years ago she was twenty," Kimmy continued.
"Still not hating you," DJ said, "and still not understanding why I would."
"DJ my sister confessed something to me yesterday that made me sick."
"What did she tell you," DJ asked.
"She was driving four years ago," Kimmy said throwing her math textbook down angrily.
"She got her liscence at sixteen," DJ said, "Of course she was driving-"
"DJ," Kimmy said, "She was the driver that was driving drunk that caused your mom's accident! She is the reason your mom is dead and then she ran away from the scene and pinned it on someone else!"
"Wait a second," DJ said, "I would hate you because of something your sister did? Kimberly Andrea Gibbler you are not the smartest person in the world but this is dumb even for you. Your sister was driving the car that caused the accident. YOU weren't. Your sister was the one that fled the scene. You didn't do that. I would never hate you because of what your sister did."
"You mean it Deej. You forgive me?"
"No I don't forgive you. In order to forgive you you would have to have done something wrong. You didn't do anything wrong so I don't forgive you because I don't have to forgive you. I do forgive your sister though." Kimmy looked shocked.
"For the second time I have to ask are you serious?"
"Yes," DJ said, "For your sake I forgive your sister. What she did was really bad but I know that you wouldn't feel comfortable until everything is settled with your sister. So I do forgive your sister."
"You really are the best," Kimmy said hugging DJ.
"I'm not the best," DJ said, "That's my cousin Josh."
"No," Kimmy said, "That's you. And I didn't know you had a cousin Josh,"
"Well I don't really," DJ said, "He's the biological son of my uncle Joey's wife. But my uncle Joey... well technically isn't my uncle but he's like an uncle to me. He raised Josh since he was born."
"Oh cool Deej," Kimmy said smiling, "Shopping later?"
"Aw not today. I have a TON of work to do for my science project."
"You are mad at me aren't you," Kimmy said.
"No," DJ replied, "I'm not mad at you at all. We can go shopping this weekend or horseback riding. Maybe we'll go to dinner too."
"Okay. Saturday at 10?"

"Better make it noon," DJ said, "I sleep till then anyway."
"Noon it is," Kimmy said, "and Deej thank you so much for forgiving me. I don't know what I would do if I lost your friendship."
"Kimmy you couldn't lose my friendship if someone tried to pay me to stop being your friend and I know cause Stephanie did."
"THAT LITTLE SQUIRT," Kimmy said mad.
"Hey," DJ said, "That's my sister we're talking about here."
