"Now hold out your arm."

"Why?"

"So I can give you something for the pain."

"It doesn't hurt that much. Shit, I could set it myself."

"You'll be singing a different tune when I actually get to work. Now hold out your arm."

"Does it have to be a needle?"

"Don't be such a baby, Ben."

"Why are we doing this again?"

"Because you were foolish enough to go out on a thinner branch without checking to see if it could hold your weight. I don't think that branch would've held Storm and she's like a little pixie. Now, quit being silly and hold out your arm."

"Can't you just set it without the pain meds? It doesn't hurt that much."

Here there's a slight grinding sound, a thump and muffled, incredibly colorful curses

"See?"

"Brilliant, Benjamin."

"It's really not that bad, so why are you insisting on this?"

"Because I don't particularly feel like dealing with your fidgeting. In fact, if I thought I could get away with it, I'd give you something to knock you out!"

"..."

"..."

"... On a slightly unrelated note, why exactly are you so against the pain meds?"

An unintelligible mutter

"What was that?"

"Never you mind, Luna. Either set my leg or buzz off and let me do i- AH!"

Rustling. Deep, shaky breaths

"..."

"..."

"...Thanks."

"You're welcome. Now, hand me that medical tape."
