DISCLAIMER: I do not own Teen Titans or the song American girl. I make no profit from this work.

Starfire was on the train. Human objects were so wierd to her. People would always glare at her and her wierd clothing.

She couldn't help thinking of the last time she was on land. A paper salesman had called her an American girl.

Galfore told her not to use her powers for they were unworldly to Earth months ago she had landed on Earth.

She was wondering if there was more to life then on Earth or her home planet. Earth was so much larger then her home.

Well she was an american girl

Raised on promises

She couldnt help thinkin that there

Was a little more to life

Somewhere else

After all it was a great big world

The train stopped. She bolted out of the train and ran as hard as she could. This transport was faster and let her think more openly.

A whole year had passed and it was her first day as a Teen Titan. The earth language was still hard for her to get down. She promised the leader of the Titans that she would not leave them. And she would die keeping the promise. And now she was going to lay low and go with the flow at least for one night.

With lots of places to run to

Yeah, an d if she had to die

Tryin she had one little promise

She was gonna keep

Oh yeah, all right

Take it easy baby

Make it last all night

She was an american girl

The next night she stood on her balcony(unknowing that it would be destroyed within the week). The cold flow of air blew her hair behind her. The low monotone noise of cars in the distance from town was calming to her. The waves of the ocean crashing on the beach melted with the car noise to create beautiful harmony for her ears. Then she flashed back to her home planet. The war and pain that forced her to leave. A tear rolled down her cheek. Home was only a short flight away, but to far away from her new glorious home. For now, she would go with the flow and remain an American Girl.

It was kind of cold that night

She stood alone on her balcony

She could the cars roll by

Out on 441

Like waves crashin in the beach

And for one desperate moment there

He crept back in her memory

God its so painful

Something thats so close

And still so far out of reach

Oh yeah, all right

Take it easy baby

Make it last all night

She was an american girl
