As much as he wanted to deny it, he couldn't. Every breath she took, he noticed. Every time she batted an eyelash, he noticed. It was pure torture, but yet… he liked it.
Nonetheless, there were other things occupying his mind. Capturing the jinchuriki was a definite must. But then again, it wouldn't be half bad. After all, she would stay beside him. She always did.
He omitted this feeling for a moderate amount of time. But to think that it would be her affection he yearned for most, was rather absurd. She was nothing but a companion, a mere consort. But despite everything, he lusted her. Not only her body, but everything that completes her, he wanted. Her sensitive manner, her tender, mellifluous tone. He craved her, as an entire individual. She was the one who kept him attached to the excruciating events of reality, but also the one who relieved him of those agonizing memories.
But of course, he was just kidding himself. As if someone as breathtaking, as enthralling like her would ever chose him, a tainted being.
So he waited. The way a king waits for his queen. For years and years, he simply waited by her side, pleading to catch a hint that she, also, felt some longing.
But he never did. Not once did he see anything close enough to be defined as desire.
But, perhaps one night, she'll come to him, handing over her heart, him trembling with tension.
Perhaps that night she'll finally apprehend those hidden messages he gave her all those years.
He waited for such a time already. He could wait a little longer.
