Nessie's POV
...My dad said to me, that time when we found her with a dead cat in her arms...what she was thinking...
I'm sorry you died alone little kitty. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. I should have been there...I should have...
Her thoughts were heartbreaking that time, and despite that, she kept smiling for us, for everyone. Despite the fact that she was suffering!
There was more about her thoughts though...
She thought that she would die alone, just like the cat did.
There was no way that was happening.
I held her hand and I could feel her grip was weakening. My tears were rolling down as she kept asking why...why we were here. Why did we have make it so difficult?
"Why...Nessie...All of you..." she asked, gesturing to all of us as she coughed violently. Carlisle was about to pick her up, but she held her hand out to stop him.
Her coughing fit stopped as she looked at me again, "...Why?" She whispered this time.
I finally answered, "I'm your friend...and you're the closest friend I ever had," I sobbed, chocking back a bit and Jacob gripped my shoulder, trying to comfort me.
I squeezed her hand and rested my forehead on her hand as I began to cry...
I begged her...
"Please... please don't die..."
