Broken Hearts at Helms Deep

A short poem I have composed about the death of Haldir. I know these have probably been done to death but please give it a try *smiles sweetly* See if you can guess whos point of view it is from.

Broken Hearts at Helm's Deep

Haldir, Oh Haldir,

Why did you have to die?

We will weep for you, we will cry,

Oh my dear Haldir, my love,

Look down on us, protect us we beg,

As you protected Lorien in your Earthly days,

Upwards we shall look to the sky and heavens beyond,

The stars everlasting, mirror your eternal beauty,

Haldir, my dear Haldir,

I shall weep, I shall cry,

Remember me, I shall remember you,

I know for certain now,

looking up at these stars tonight,

You did not fall,

You did not die.
