Don't Tell a Soul Goodbye

A sense of nervousness tingles in Alberto's hands as he poses the question to his secret girlfriend. The plan he has is dangerous but with their combined bravery and intelligence, Alberto is sure they can make a clean getaway.
"Let's run away together," he whispers in Ana's ear, pulling his lover into the storage room.
"Alberto, we would get caught!" Ana frets, looping her hands around her boyfriend's large forearm. "My uncle already suspects that the two of us….
"Ana, mi amor, where is your sense of adventure?" Alberto teases, his chocolate eyes shining in the dim light. "Do you trust me, yes or no?" he inquires, his voice switching from playful to serious.
"Yes!" Ana assures him, a sigh escaping her lips.
"It will all work out. Trust me," Alberto promises, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek.
"But, your father…"
"Will never find out, querida. If we leave tonight, no one will catch us. We can be married before anyone knows we're gone."
"And you're positive this is what you want, Alberto?" Ana asks in concern.
"Sí, more than anything, Ana. Te quiero," Alberto assures, love in his voice.
Throwing social status to the wind, they escape together.
Author's Note: And there it is! My first Velvet story! I started watching this in 10th grade in my Spanish class, and I fell in love with it! Ana and Alberto have always been endgame for me, even though I'm still on Season One, which is what this double drabble is based on.
