Chapter 1: Alex and John
"Merry Christmas Alex!" John said, hiding a small gift behind his back. Alexander blushed as he replied,
"M - Merry Christmas to you too John."
"So, what did you get for Christmas?"
"Well, among other things, I got a visit from my bestest friend in the world!"
"And who might that be?" Laurens asked, not expecting Alexander's response,
"You silly!" Alex laughed, as he promptly tackled John in a hug.
"Alex... I had a gift for you," John whined, "You knocked me over and crushed it."
"I'm sorry, but I'm sure a visit from you makes up for the loss, right?" he replied,
"Yes I guess so." John sniffled,
"Aww, cheer up John, it's not so-" he had begun saying, before being cut off by Hercules
"Hey you two lovebirds, if you really love each other why not get married?" teased Mulligan,
"Pretty funny, coming from a kid who dreams about horses." Alex retorted,
"Hey! I don't like, love horses, but my cousins have a few so, I get a lot of time with them. Things like that tend to stick with you." Mulligan explained. "And anyway, what about Eliza? I doubt she would like it if she found out you love John."
"Well, I think she would be fine with it. And the word is p- poly- polyamorous." Alex said, slowly sounding out the foreign word.
"Come on Alex, let's go." John said, ending the aforementioned child's train of thought.
