The Doctor realized what he had to do. He had to mary River Song in order to fix time but, was this the whole truth…as the Doctor and River get married, he tells her to look in his eyes and he sees something moving in her eye. When he realizes what it is then he smiles and continues on. Amy and Rory are a bit confused they exchange disgusted looks and turned back. By now the wedding is over and it's time for the Doctor to die.
Time brings us to a conversation with Amy and River.
Amy: " I miss the Doctor so much."
River: " Mom he's not gone you know"
Amy: " maybe not in your heart but,in the real world he's gone."
River: " no he's not just look in my eyes"
Amy : " oh my god he's really alive… I'm gonna kill him when he comes out!"
River: " I can respect that but don't actually kill him. Just give him a smack or two."
Amy: " wait if it wasn't him then was it a real wedding then?"
River: " sadly no, but I wanted it to be."
They didn't realize that the Doctor was listening the whole. suddenly he felt cold inside.
