Aftertaste
There was, Remus mused, always a distinct bitter aftertaste when eating chocolate.
Well, he loved chocolate. He really did. It was sweet and tasty, to say the very least. Remus kept his choclate in his magical trunk. There were hidden drawers and little compartments that couldn't be seen, unless you knew where to look.
Remus had had a sudden craving for his chocolate whilst studying. Every so often, he would get a feeling. A feeling that said: CHOCOLATE in big screaming letters across his brain. That month, he had little peppermint creams wrapped in the most amazing colour of dark green foil. It made him shiver when he thought about it. The best part was knowing that it was there.
But, as he had thought only moments before eating his choclate, there was always a distinct bitter aftertaste when eating chocolate. A slightly stale smell that contaminated his breath. He could taste the minty flavour at the back of his mouth, only, it wasn't so sweet.
Remus looked across the dormitory he shared with his friends. Only Sirius was there at that moment. Remus nodded and Sirius came over. They kissed frantically, only breaking apart when Sirius asked Remus to get rid of that horrible taste in his mouth. What was it anyway?
Remus realised that there was a bitter aftertaste with all the sweetest things when he saw Sirius kissing Rosie Hawkins in the Common Room.
I know I said I'd try a bit of het, but damn it's hard!
