This isn't yaoi, just a feelgood oneshot.
...
He woke up in a daze, head throbbing, grumpy as usual. Patting his wild hair down, Karkat stood from the uncomfortable pile he was just napping on. Thick eyebrows knit together when he realized that no one was around. Walking through the exit, he began to feel uneasy from the quiet. He couldn't find anyone; no one was around. He couldn't hear the humans, or the friends that still remained, he couldn't even hear his own footsteps. He began to feel a tightening in his chest, and he couldn't swallow. Karkat was dreaming, he knew he was, and he couldn't wake himself up.
Nothing horrible was happening, but he was all alone. No one could help him, everyone he loved died. Everyone he cared about stop caring about him, left him alone to fight his demons. He hated being alone in the silence, in the dark, in his mind. Closing his eyes, the cancer tried to steady himself. Kanaya had told him how to remain calm until he woke, and slowly he could feel himself drifting out of his slumber.
"Karkat," his name was called out faintly, and Karkat searched for the caller with closed eyes, feeling himself waken further. "Karkat!" Closer, the voice was coming closer, "Hey fuck ass, wake your little ass up!" Growling, he rolled out of the pile, staring up into the aviator shielded eyes of his best fucking friend, Dave Strider.
"Fuck, Dave. Get out of my face before I suffocate from your disgusting morning breath." Karkat was greeted with Dave leaning in really close until their noses touched. The troll had to keep himself from blushing, as he heated from the close contact. Though, the moment was quickly disturbed as the blonde blew a lungful of rancid air into Karkat's blushing face. "Ugh, fuck! You're fucking disgusting!" He shouted, trying to push the larger boy off.
"Bro, you know what happens when you push me." Karkat's eyes widened in a mixture of annoyance and fear. "All Strider systems down," Dave bellowed as he began to fall on top of Karkat, crushing him. Trying as hard as he could to hold up the heavy burden, Karkat couldn't help but break out into helpless laughter. "Bro, don't fight it. Don't. Fight. The homo."
"Fucking GOG, Dave. Stop forcing yourself on me!" Eventually, his arms gave out, and both ended up on the pile. Karkat liked it when Dave helped him awake. Before their hesitant alliance, his life on this rock was dimming. Now he had someone to talk to, and someone to help him.
"Bad dream again," Dave inquired, as he flopped down onto the pile next to the troll. Karkat sighed heavily, and nodded. They had talked about his dreams before, but still neither of them knew what they meant. "Yo man, maybe you should sleep in my room." Eyes widening, the small troll snapped his head to look at him.
"What's your angle, Strider." Turning his head to face Karkat, Dave made his eyebrows waggle. Scoffing, Karkat roughly pushing Dave off the pile. "I guess having someone to wake me wouldn't hurt."
"That's the spirit," Jumping up, and brushing himself off, Dave grabbed the startled cancer's hand, and pulled him towards his own room. "Now, let's get all homosexual up in here." Laughing at the blondes eager words, Karkat felt better knowing that he had someone to watch over him.
