Disclaimer: I don't own any Star Wars Characters or any of the Lyrics of "Endless night" from the Broadway show The Lion King, or any of the dialogue from the movie…

Author's Note: This came to me when my one of my good friends, Hannah, let me borrow The Lion King soundtrack (The Broadway version) and I was listening to "Endless night" I thought 'Aww it's sad…he lost his father' and Realized it would make a great fan fiction. So yeah…The song is not complete I cut some things out, so if you know the song, you'll see what I'm talking about. Anyway, Enjoy. Please Review. I'd like to know what you think.

Regular speech…this is Obi-Wan's thoughts…

The lyrics to the song…la la la la…hehe

Endless Night

Where has the starlight gone?

Dark is the day

How can I find my way home?

Days seem so dark now. There is no more sun. The warmth has disappeared, while the bitter cold takes it's place. The night's majestic show of stars shooting and dancing across the sky once played endlessly. But no more. The curtain has fallen, and the stars are no more. I feel lost, and can't find my way back home without the light of the heavens. I can't find you, my father. You're gone…forever.

Home is an empty dream

Lost to the night

Father, I feel so alone.

You were always full of hope and dreams. Even in the most hopeless situations, you were always confident that we would make it. And we always did. Maybe with a few cuts here and there, but nothing serious. But the soft hands of death caressed you and took hold of you, never to return you. Death took you away from me and left me alone with the screaming silence. I'm alone and lost without you.

You said you'd always be there! But your not…

You promised you'd be there

Whenever I needed you

Whenever I call your name

Your not anywhere

I remember when you were there… you were always there for me. Even when it wasn't necessary. I remember when I was sick when I was much younger, thirteen, I think. And you cradled my head in your lap and soothed my splitting headaches with your gentle voice. Even your presence always soothed me. I t felt nice to know that I had someone to look up to, someone to care for me no matter what.

I'm trying to hold on

Just waiting to here your voice

One word, just a word will do

To end this nightmare

Why did you have to die? Why did you have to leave me alone? Why you and not me? Why can't you be there? You said you would be…But where?

You were more than my master, my teacher… You were my father. You were the man I always looked up too, even as a small child. You were kind enough, after all your pain, to take me under wing. Even after your last Padawan left you in the worst possible way he could. He left you for the dark side. You cared for me, even after you swore you'd never have another relationship after Xantos. That you could never love again. But despite your promise to yourself, you made one last vow…to care for me and take me as your Padawan.

When you were by my side

Guiding my path

Father, I can't find the way

You promised you'd be there

Whenever I needed you

Whenever I call your name

You're not anywhere

I'm trying to hold on

Just waiting to hear your voice

One word, just a word will do

To end this nightmare

I realize now, Even when your not here, you'll be here soon. You wouldn't want me to dwell on the past. You would want me to move on. You have my word, I will do my best.

I know that the night must end

I know that the sun will rise

And I'll hear your voice deep inside

Goodbye, Father, for now…
