"Here you are Professor." Although James Potter hadn't been a student for three years he knew calling his old Headmaster anything other than Sir or Professor would be downright strange.
"Thank you James, I shall return it to you as soon as possible." Albus Dumbledore said as James handed over his invisibility cloak.
"I've got to go, sir, Sirius is coming over later, says he's got something important to tell us."
"Goodbye James." Dumbledore's piercing blue eyes twinkled as he watched the dark haired man throw some green Floo powder into the roaring fire and say calmly,
"The Potter Household."

As soon as he stepped out of the fire James knew something was wrong. His son's, Harry's, sobs could be heard but other than that the house was silent. James ran out of the room, a strong gust of wind, carrying the laughs and shouts of "Trick or treat" that echoed around Godrics Hollow through the house.
Feeling panic rising in his chest, James sprinted upstairs into his son's room, but when he reached the doorway he froze in shock.
The door had been blasted down along most of the furniture. This, however, was not what James' attention was focused on. A woman lay sprawled in front of the cot from which the cries were issuing.
"Lily." James mumbled as he knelt at his wife's side. Tears flowed freely down his cheeks as his world came crashing down around him, but then he heard Harry crying and he knew that his son needed him to be strong.
James stood up shakily and walked to the boy his wife had died for. Harry had tufts of shocking black hair, so like his father's, but the feature James loved most about Harry was his eyes; they were a perfect replica of Lily's which now stared lifelessly at the ceiling. As James looked into those emerald orbs, he saw innocence, innocence which made another wave of tears engulf him. James searched Harry's face and what he saw shocked him so much he stopped crying. There was a large gash across his forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt.
Gathering Harry in his arms, James knew what he had to do. As reluctant as he was to leave Lily's body here, he knew he had to.
Soon James was back in Dumbledore's office, only now his face was tear stained, he was holding his son and he had a gaping Lily shaped hole in his heart.
"James, my dear boy I thought you were meeting Sirius. Where's Lily?" James collapsed into the vacant seat shivering violently and breathed,
"Dead." Dumbledore looked alarmed and said urgently,
"But that means Peter,"
"WORMTAIL BETRAYED US!" James yelled, waking Harry who had fallen into a fitful slumber.
"James, listen to me, I understand you are upset, I am too, but no matter what you cannot go after Peter you have to stay and care for Harry."
"Wormtail was our Secret Keeper, he sold us to Voldemort." James looked so shocked, so upset, so confused Dumbledore knew he had never believed and of his friends would ever have betrayed either him or Lily.
"Go home James. I shall arrange an order meeting to sort things out." Dumbledore said soothingly.
"Send everyone to the house, then they can investigate." James managed to choke out before stepping into the now emerald flames.
Once James had left, Dumbledore put his head in his hands and thought. He couldn't believe this Voldemort may be a dark wizard, but the thought of anybody murdering Lily Potter was incomprehensible. Then he thought of the Order they had lost one of their key and easily most liked members. At the thought of Lily, her emerald eyes and fiery red hair dead, Albus felt a lone tear course it's way down his wrinkled face into his waist length silver beard.
