Run
His body ached as his tired legs tried to speed up. Trees blurred past the frail figure as he ran senselessly though the dense forest, tears blinded his vision and rolled down pale cheeks. Dead leaves crunched under his feet but the sound was lost over the roar of blood in his ears. He couldn't hide, he couldn't stop. He could just run. His beautiful blond locks were tangled and dirty, getting caught on low hanging branches, but he didn't care.
Arthur couldn't breathe and his whole being just screamed at him to stop. Maybe that would be easier, just let the beast take him. Let him rip out his dying soul and devour it. It could be so easy, just stop and die. Arthur clenched his fists and gritted his teeth against the protesting voices in his head.
"You can't run forever." A voice rang out though the dark forest as clear as day. It was so soft, so caring, it made Arthur sick. He was being hunted like pray and this creature was mocking him. He should have guessed this was all just a game to the demon. There was no thought or logic behind the chase, just want, greed and lust.
Suddenly Arthur's foot got caught on a root and he tumbled to the hard earth that supported him. Pain flared in his legs making him yell out into the darkness as white dots shone in front of his sight. He tried to move but his feet could no longer bare his weight and he collapsed once more, the forest stayed silent.
The demon smiled. The grin that started to seep onto his face revealed his sharp fangs and his blue eyes lit up at the smell of blood that entered his nose. The demon started to walk towards the sobbing blond that lay on the ground, only a few feet away, struggling to fight the urge to devour him right then and there. Scaly wings twitched in anticipation behind him while a soft animalistic growl formed in his tense body. But he had to be patient for now or he would miss all the fun.
"See. I have you now." The demon called, his voice still sickly sweet but this time danger seemed to ooze out of every word that left his ghostly lips. The fallen figure went silent and after a moment lifted his head to look into the demons neon orbs that shined so brightly thought the shadows which danced around him. For a moment Arthur got lost in his lustful gaze and just stared. His body began to shake.
"What do you want?" Arthur managed to croak out before tears started to fall again and his throat seared up. He knew what the demon wanted. He wanted his soul, his body, his life. Arthur closed his emerald eyes pausing for a response, waiting for his end. The demon looked amused as he thought about the question. Usually he would just kill human straight away but this one, he was different, so pure and innocent. So what did he want?
"Your company. The names Alfred." Arthur lay in the dirt wide eyed. Alfred knelt down to stroke Arthurs head, running his thin fingers though tousled blond locks. Arthur was stunned by the request. "As long as stay with me, I won't hurt you." Alfred lent down and pressed his lips to Arthur's forehead.
