Escape Part I: Trapped Inside

Freddy paced up and down the Dining Area. Bonnie remained on the stage, his guitar gathering dust as he was unmoved by the footsteps and the sound of car honks outside the pizzeria nearby. Chica leaned towards the wall in the East Hall Corner. Foxy silently slipped his head outside Pirate Cove, being cautious of the security cameras nearby. Meanwhile, in the Office, a frantic Mike Schmidt sits in his chair tapping is foot out of paranoia. He flips up the monitor to find Freddy in the East Hall. "These fucking animals," Mike muffled gritting his teeth. "How and why do they get this crazy?" he whispers to himself. He turns on the west hall light to see Bonnie standing there. Mike alarmingly slammed down the door. Chica is also standing in the blind spot when Mike turns on the east hall light. He almost falls out of the chair reaching for the button to close the door. The novice security guard bangs his head on his desk. "I'm going to be insane by the time I'm finished with this job…assuming I even make it out alive," Mike grunted.

It's 3:30 AM. Mike sobs lightly. He had almost let Freddy through the right door at 1:43 AM, saw Foxy sprinting down the West Hall at 2:11 AM, and had a close call with Bonnie as he shut the door just before he was able to enter and disable the door and the light at 3:03 AM. "Why is a security guard here the only job I could afford?" Mike whispers to himself. When he was only 42 weeks old, his father had been shot in the head when he had been wedged in the middle of a grocery store robbery. The gunman was sentenced to 29 years in jail, but the bullet managed to reach the father's cranium and, along with becoming diagnosed with lung cancer and suffering cardiac arrest later in life, died at the age of 74 when Mike was 13 years old. During his childhood, the family had almost no income. The only reason they were able to afford an education at all was because they spent the rest of their allowance for Mike to go to school.

Mike graduated from the International Academic Institution of Utah and became a surgeon. However, he had very little pay at the job, and at the age of 24, he had signed a deal to play with the Toronto Blue Jays in the MLB. Before spring training rolled around, however, he took an awkward fall while practicing with the team and snapped his ankle. He almost was forced to have it amputated.

Now 32 years old, he clenched his fist as he checked the door lights. Chica had left the blind spot. He opened the door. Bonnie was still at the blind spot on the other side. "I hope to God that the bunny goes away and does some other shit soon," Mike exclaimed. He looked at the power gauge. "Only 19% left before it's the bite of '87 all over again." The clock read 5:06 AM. Mike brought some light to his thoughts. Maybe he could make it another hour. All I need to do is conserve power, he thought to himself. He checked the cameras to see Foxy stepping out of the curtain and Freddy at the East Hall Corner. "Christ!" Mike shrieked while he lowered the monitor and punched the door button. Mike shouted, "Who the fuck do you think you animals are?!" He felt like grabbing an axe and using it to break the window and gore the animatronics to smithereens. Mike was pissed. His glowing red face, gritted teeth, unnerving stare, and threatening fists were only half the reward he had given himself. The other half is checking the cameras after opening up the left door to conserve power only to see Foxy running down the hallway. He went to close the door, and then…
